Houston Weekly Meet AGAIN~!! (03/20/2008)
 

Since the last one turned out well, why not have another one?!?!

LOCATION: D&B (I-10 and Silber) parking lot.

Date: March 20, 2008

Time: 7:30 till whenever we feel like leaving!!


We can hang out at the parking lot again then move in to eat or play games or what have you. Sound good? Whose in?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

speaking off.. i needa install my racing beat screens... and my rasp led light, i can't figure out where ican buy some self tapping splices at.

I'm waiting on mine also, but I'm not in a critical need right now.

I would like to come, but I am going to be out of town. I will try my best to make the next.

I haven't gotten most of them yet. I've installed my RX7store exhaust, but that's it. I'm going to try to have my clutch and flywheel installed tomorrow. I just got word from MazSport that my ignition upgrade will be in the next set of 10 to go out. Figure a week or so more. I'm also going to be ordering an AccessPort in the next few days or so. Seeing how hot they are right now, that might be a few weeks also.

I may make this one again. We'll see. I missed the regular club meet due to schedule conflicts but this might work again.

I wish I could make it, but I gotta get my car fixed first :(

Do ya'll mind a newcomer? It's a weekday so hard to get someone to go with me and I don't want to look like the guy who knows nobody. So did yall get some people that came alone yall didnt know? Maybe i'm just being to shy,lol

My uncle is having surgery on thursday so I have to fill in for him at his shop all day that day. By the time we close and I get home to shower and whatnot then drive back out to D&B its probably going to be 9:45ish or so! I know this is bad because I tried getting this going, but looks like I, myself, may not be able to make it. Sorry guys!! Im not discouraging anyone else from going though, I hope it turns out to be another great meet! Ill see how things go on my end........

Jose: There were a lot of guys there that showed up not knowing anyone. I dont know many other 8 owners myself. Everyone is friendly there though so dont worry about having to just stand around alone. People will talk to you ^_^

Newcomers are welcome to these meets with wide-open arms. Drive out, show up, meet everyone, and if you feel like you're being ignored and/or just aren't clicking with anyone, you can just leave :)


HERO & Snipersgo:
Short answer is "alot." Nothing major, but my warranty is running out so I need to get it all fixed ASAP to make sure I don't have a dead RX8 with 100,001 miles on it :/
Long answer...
1st gear doesn't work if I'm on a hill
4th gear grinds like hell over 5500RPM
5th gear is chunky as hell
Passenger seatbelt doesn't release without 20minutes of jiggling
Rear interior panelling is coming loose
Engine light is on (O2 sensor is broken)
Minor Coolant leak (old hoses)
GPS likes to go apeshit randomly
A/C fan makes clicking noise
Exhaust rattles really bad on the drivers side when idling
Keyless entry doesn't work anymore
Rear differential makes a knocking noise at low speeds
Pegs/screws that hold the exterior paneling onto the car are starting to break off
and probably some other things I've forgotten.

Like I said, nothing major, but stuff that shouldn't be put off when I'm this close to the end of my waranty.

Fortunately that isn't much of an issue here!
