Houston folks - wanna get together and build some grounding kits?
I had some good luck making and installing a grounding kit for my mazda6, its seems to be an inexpensive mod that could help a few of our issues, as it appears to have helped a few others. See this thread:
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...grounding+kits
I'm doing some research into what materials we would need, is we get together and group buy the stuff and have an install day we can prolly do it at ~$20 a piece.
While I don't expect any power gains per say, it should help the A/C, lights, alternator, ECU and other power equipment run more efficiently, therefore, more energy is going to the wheels rather than lost. It also helped with my throttle response.
I figure we can get together, get the materials, share tools, and quickly install the wires, which should help those new to cars or a little uneasy getting under the hood without some help.
Let me know what you guys think.

I make grounding kits for the local G35s and 350Zs. I have some gold plated terminals (4 gauge) I need to get rid of if you're interested. Pack of 34 w/ red boots for $20 if you're interested.

I went to car toys and did it for under 20 bucks. I believe I used 8 gauge wire? (don't remember what size it was a while back), and I found all the grounding points. Theres a thread out there somewhere...possibly posted by canzoomer a while back that shows about where all the grounding points are. PM me if you want to meet up and build one.

Grounding kit works well. Idles smoothed out nicely. There's a HUGE thread on the G35 forums on our research w/ our kits. We routed one wire down to the automatic transmission and shifts were noticeably smoother.
If you Dallas guys want a grounding kit, I can meet up and build one. Just have to show me where to mount everything. I have tons of 4 gauge wire in red, blue, clear, and smoked varieties.

not sure how cosmetically appealing the wire at Home Depot is if that matters to you. The colored audio wire that I use looks great.
Yes you can make your own and save on money. Or if you don't want to hassle to locate parts, then you can have someone do it for you. A lot of people have trouble crimping the large 4 gauge wire, which I have a special tool for.

I live in Wylie, which is just east of Plano. I can meet you wherever though. My gf lives in Ft. Worth/N. Richland Hills area, and I'm in the Plano/N. Dallas area all the time.

Canzoomer posted this a while back. The dimensions on a grounding kit and roughly where the grounding points are.

I went by cartoys today to check out wire materials, no real luck finding what we need. I'm going to keep looking. Anyone have any ideas where we can get some good braided copper wire with a sleve that can handle the heat in the engine bay?
