Houston: Aftermarket Spings - install shops/price range???

My fellow H-town RX8rs,

I am looking to get my espelir springs installed this week but have been seeing some varying quotes from the different places I have called, ranging from $400 including alignment to just $400 for the springs alone. I was hoping to get some insight from those who had theirs installed at a shop as to how much it ran you for the install and then the alignment. For some reason I thought the springs should run around $200 to install at most and the alignment $100 (I have 19" wheels if that makes an diff). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Give Curt a call at Tracktime Performance. He's got an awesome 4 wheel lazer alignment machine and does very good work. He's also a finish builder for Noble and usually has some neat toys in the shop. He's near Willowbrook Mall. 713-907-0345

Springs probably take a good shop 2.5-3 hours or so to do @ 100/hr so 300ish seesm reasonable. A good alignment should cost you about 80-100 and a lifetime or 1-2 year should be 100-120.

I got mine done at a place in Conroe for $140. Took only 2 hours and went and got an alignment after that. Place is called Overdrive Automotive and it is on Hwy 105 West, towards Montgomery.
