First RoadRally of the season!
It's time for the first SCCA RoadRally of the year:
Explore the countryside south of Dallas and Ft Worth in the first annual Roads of Texas Rally! Starting after breakfast, you will get to Granbury in time for dinner. This road rally is presented by Mapsco, and you will need a copy of the latest "Roads of Texas" atlas to run the event. Many of you got this atlas in our rallies last year, but you will be able to buy one at the start in Dallas for the special price of $10. The rally is on Saturday, February 28th, with registration at 9am at the Mapsco store at Preston Rd and Forest Lane. To see the flyer, go to http://www.texasscca.org/RoT09Flyer.pdf . (The flyer may not be posted until Monday, Feb 09). Preregistration (which saves you $$) is open at http://www.dlbracing.com/clubs/texas...x?EventID=3790 Do RX8s ever rally? There is proof on our website: go to www.texasscca.org and click on Rally, and you will see one of your members at the start line of the Mountain Creek Classic Rally. Join us! |
thats awesome its me in the picture on the site
|
haha thats cool... Was it fun?
|
other than when i bottomed out my car it wasawesome
it was like our cruises but a lot longer and more fun |
Nice shot, props for having the spotlight pic.
Road Rallies are a lot of fun. Like Brian said, they are like our cruises but they require you to find your own way based on a set of directions and rules that you must adhere to. They are all different with various objectives, routes and themes. 3 cars make up a team, who's going to represent the RX8club? |
these only in the dallas area? I would be down if there was one in the hill country area
|
I'M IN!
Who else is going to join me? we should try and get a team together (more chances to win) |
I would join you but it looks like I'll be out of town....damn work...I'll be stuck in Key West for the week.
|
I'm in unless I remember I have plans. And I'm all about navigating if someone needs one. I mean, I'll always be up for driving, just thought I'd change it up a bit.
Congrats Jew, I was honestly thinkin I'd open the link and see me and Scott reppin' the First Place Novice...or whatever we got. But I guess that was years ago now so...bout time for another one! Your 8 is lookin good at the first of the line! :) |
i might do it but its gonna require me to raise my car up an inch or more and get a new alignment
|
I'd like to do this one as well... but last time I did one of these I gave up halfway through cuse my wife and I kept going in circles, and needless to say being as competitive as I am I was VERY mean about the whole experience, so I may not have a navi :(
At least this one seems like the possiblity of getting lost in the city is less, I personally liked the country roads of the first one that Steve Scott and I did. |
