I don't think it's just Texas, this problem exists everywhere (minus the cowboy hats or whatever) but with Texas being one of the large states we probably see more if it than most people.

Slims,
Sounds like a plan... lets do this.

ColtSwitch,
I dont think the cop confused hte two of us... since i am very "distinct" looking. Then again, he is probably dumb enough to not notice... so yeah, maybe this is all your fault. HA!

Everyone Else,
Thanks for the support. Its good to hear im not the only one who's having to deal with ***** cops on a regular basis.

So after preparing for my trial until 2am this morning, i get to court at 8am and...
1 - The cop didn't show up
2 - Only 9 out of the 35 jurors summoned showed up. They have to have at least 12 because the prosecution and I can both strike 3 jurors, and then there needs to be at least 6 remaining.

Since the prosecutor knew I was leaving the state soon for at least 3 years... she went ahead and dismissed the case instead of moving for a postponement.

CASE DISMISSED!!!

(i fought the law, and i won... sorta)

You did it! Maybe the cop saw this forum and realized he'd been pwned.

I don't mind cops giving tickets for truly dangerous behavior, but it's clear many are donig it just to make money (for themselves or the state). People in the suburbs of Baltimore drive so slowly that it's dangerous because of all the tickets that are given. When I say dangerous, I mean merging onto 95 going 25mph when the rest of traffic is going 65mph. A giant gas tanker truck exploded killing 4 people because of a car slamming on its brakes in the rain on an off ramp because he was too cautious to merge normally.. This awesome "safety" that the police have created sure is making me feel good. I moved because I hated it that much.

Sorry for the rant. I get a little worked up sometimes.

Oh no... its all good. My whole thing was I wasn't driving dangerously... 6th gear, 2krpm... THAT IS SLOOOWWWW!!!

I've gotten tickets in the past for speeding, thats fine. I just don't like getting harrased because the PD is jealous of my bling.
