DFW Quick Decision needed

I have 45 minutes to decide if I should have the dealership replace my clutch with my new engine. I was quoted 550 for clutch and parts with install since the engine is out and they are working on it etc. I was told it was worn but not worn out yet and I still had time, but that it would be 1200 at another time because of the labor.

Thoughts?

I'm not the best one to ask, but I think if I were faced with this, I'd eat the 550 now. "Still have time" is what I'd wrestle with. How much? But if it's coming no matter what, and fairly soon, it might be wise to go ahead and get it all done. Wish I had more expert advice.

Or you could do it yourself and save the labor.

Run down to NAPA, get a clutch (exedy) with lifetime warranty and have them install it. I brought them a clutch when they did my last motor and they did not charge me. Labor? They have to put the old one back in there is no more labor putting a new one in.

Alright, times up, thanks for the help guys.

Not much good it would do me without bullets :P Whats funny is that I was woken up by what I thought was a knock on my front door this morning at 5am (was four loud taps, but didnt see anything around the house when I checked). I was SERIOUSLY considering going outside with it with no bullets just for show :(

What pistol did you get Thomas?

(unless you're sleeping with a shottie under your pillow...)

Yeah, unfortunately, my double barrel doesn't provide that distinctive sound.

Springfield Armory 45

I grew up with guns, so this wasn't a big deal for me. My dad had several pistols that we were taught how to shoot, and my grandfather was a big hunter, so I learned rifles and shotguns from him. This will be the first gun I've personally owned while my brothers have cycled through a couple already.
