DFW: Mazda meet in Haltom City on Saturday, February 19! (fender roller available)

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to let you all know that Revolution Performance Manufacturing will be hosting a Mazda meet again on Saturday, February 19 in Haltom City to hang out and work on a few cars.

We recommend that you try to show up around 10am to noon. If you need to change your oil or do any other mods, bring them out. We'd be happy to help. We will also have a fender roller available to use if anyone needs to roll their fenders.

If you're interested, please send me a PM or contact me on AIM for directions and my phone number.

Hope to see you there!

I hate to sound like a complete idiot... but what exactly is the Fender Roller for? If anyone is interested in painting the driver's side of my car I'll be there! :D

Seriously, I think I'll come out. I don't have work and it will be neat to meet another group of people. I should see you there. *PMing for directions*

While I could explain it, I think I'll use this quote instead as it's worded much better than anything I could ever write. ;) I found it in another thread in the forums.

This is called the fender lip. A "fender Roller" is a tool that attaches to your spindle using the lug nuts. It has an adjustable arm that rotates using the spindle as a center point. On the opposite end of the tool there is a soft rubber wheel that rests against the fender lip. When you roll the fender lip back and forth over the fender lip it will slowly fold the fender lip up against the inside of the fender. By doing this you gain a little more clearance inside the fender.

Basically, it's useful if you pan to use a wheel/tire combination that is slightly larger than what is generally known to fit on the car.

Oh I see...

Well, I don't have a lot to contribute, but I'll give it a shot. To try to get more people to show up, I'll bring the materials and install/help install the billet grilles like I have on my car. I have the 2 bars in the back and 2 bars across each oil cooler/fog light hole. All of the regular FW members have seen it and for those of you that haven't you can click on the link in my signature. If you like it and want it, come on out. I figure if you can pitch in $5-$10 for the parts I'll help or install it for you. I'll spread the word. My offer is good for anyone so come on out.

Sounds good. Thanks for the support. ;)

Slims8 02-15-2005 01:51 PM

If you plan on showing up and want to take my offer, just let me know ahead of time so I know how many supplies I need to bring. You can PM me or post it here.

Amp kit??? Whatcha got? I love sound systems :D

falcontx 02-16-2005 10:19 AM

I decided I'd go ahead and post the address here. I usually have people PM me so I have a better idea of how many people will be there, but I also realize that's somewhat inconvenient, so here you go...

6000 Huddleston St.
Haltom City, TX 76137

And by the way, as of right now, we're expecting to have at least six Mazda 6's and a few Mazdaspeed Protege's along with the RX-8's of those who have posted and possibly one more. Should hear from more people as the week goes on as well.

Mr. Ed's rx-8 02-16-2005 03:07 PM

i have to work that night but if anyone wants to meet up and head over there i know exactly where it is. i am hoping to have my car back by then!!!

falcontx 02-16-2005 05:12 PM

Cool. I hope you get your car back. I'd love to see it since I missed out last time. Either way, it'll be good to meet you.

Hav 2 10" audiobahn comp. subs that take 900 watts each. So now I have to build a box and get the audiobahn 1800 watt amp. Luckly my friend Richard works for them so I probably get that half off or even free :D

Mr. Ed's rx-8 02-17-2005 02:31 AM

i needs me some audiobahn shit!

jenkins-crew 02-17-2005 06:02 AM

Circuit City or start coming to meets when Richard is there and make him your new best freind and help him out with whatever he needs. :) I have known him for quite a few years and did lots of work to that green civic for free, so I always get the hookup with him wheather it be getting into shows free or discounted car / audio stuff.

Slims8 02-17-2005 08:25 AM

That will be pretty sweet. I installed my 1000w amp with a kicker solo baric 10 and it's sounds awesome. Probably the cleanest sounding system I've heard for 1 10" sub.

Mr. Ed's rx-8 02-18-2005 01:10 AM

well i do have the hook up at circuit city!!! but i am always down for helping people out...for free! i don't need any compensation except for the satisfaction of a job well done and help that was appreciated. richard is a cool guy so anytime he needs my help and i can provide then i'm there!

Slims8 02-18-2005 02:38 PM

Well, after all this I don't guess I'll be coming. Maybe I can take a raincheck for next time. You guys have a good time. I'm looking forward to seeing Mr Ed's car and Jenkins system. I promise I'll pay my dues next time.

falcontx 02-18-2005 02:48 PM

Aww.. That stinks.. Mind if I ask what happened?

jenkins-crew 02-18-2005 02:49 PM

It's a slim (no pun intended) change I might not make it, wife got sick today so I might have to watch the little one, but I will try.

jenkins-crew 02-18-2005 02:55 PM

I think he is going out of town to Arkansas.

Mr. Ed's rx-8 02-18-2005 03:19 PM

well crap...i might actually make it out and now no one else is gonna be there...oh well hope the wife gets to feeling better!

jenkins-crew 02-18-2005 03:26 PM

I am really going to try, dont worry man!

jenkins-crew 02-18-2005 08:11 PM

well I am definately coming, what time you gunna be there EG?

dazygirl415 02-19-2005 12:29 AM

Is something going to be happening here tomorrow (I guess it's today now) or is everyone just hanging out? I thought I had plans around this time but I think those have been changed a little.
