Detail Shops in the D/FW area

Does anybody know of a really good Detail shop in the D/FW area. I want to get my car waxed/clay barred, and the inside cleaned as well.

Last time i had it done on my previous car, i paid $100 for a pretty good job. If you know of a place that can do it for the same amount or less, and is really good... then let me know.

THANKS!!!

Dude, Brite Zone on Bryant Irvin in South Ft worth will do the inside and out side for $30, If you want the wax done it is extra but they do an awesome job.

Where on Bryant Irvin? Is it south of I-20?

jenkins-crew 02-18-2005 09:48 PM

Yeah south of 20, on the right after the dealerships, if you get to Oakmont you just pasted it. They do the interior great, the blow out all the crevices with compressed air and condition the dash, lokks brand new when their done.

NYT-OWL 02-18-2005 09:51 PM

Is that by the self storage place and the oil change place?

jenkins-crew 02-18-2005 09:55 PM

yeah, it used to be AquaZoom.

bmcc49er 02-18-2005 09:56 PM

You said you wanted it claybarred. I highly doubt they are doing a claybar for 30 bucks. Just sealing in all the contamints under the wax if your 8 hasn't been claybarred previously.

jenkins-crew 02-18-2005 10:03 PM

No not claybarring for $30 but they do a good interior/extior for $30. Just posting my experience.

Here's the address if you want it:

Address: 5750 Bryant Irvin Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76132

NYT-OWL 02-18-2005 10:13 PM

ok, even if I sound dumb, what is claybarring.

Alot of other brands out there. Just make sure you have plenty of time to do it the day you pick and don't drop the bar. Make it in the shape of a small pancake and use plenty of the provided lube.

jenkins-crew 02-18-2005 10:23 PM

wow that's pretty cheap.

BigOLundh 02-19-2005 02:22 AM

Thanks for the info. I will call that place in Ft Worth and see if they claybar/wax as well, and how much it would be. That is a drive but i have to go to ft worth once a month anyways, so it should be ok.

Anybody know of any other places that have done a good job for you?

jenkins-crew 02-20-2005 07:51 AM

Maybe we can have a claybar meet :D

Doug DeBug 02-20-2005 10:46 AM

Everyone pitch in and do a members car each month. Can I go first :)

jenkins-crew 02-20-2005 08:36 PM

That's not a bad Idea, we could probably do a couple at a time.

jenkins-crew 02-22-2005 01:55 PM

N.O. should be jealous!

dazygirl415 02-22-2005 02:03 PM

I like those hint hints. :D

And of course N-O should be jealous, the closest he'll ever get to me are his dreams!

BigOLundh 03-02-2005 11:46 PM

so i just had it thoroughly cleaned, but not waxed/claybarred yet...

only advice. If you go to the Blue Planet in Dallas, do not select the "new car fragrance" unless u enjoy the stank of 80 gallons of lysol.

i need to get mine claybarred! sounds like a crazy ass party!!!
