Off the top of my head...MZM and ProTech (PTP). PTP is currently building a custom turbo for the 8. Check out the Performance section for their progress.

yup, what Parmer8 said :) there's also EDO Performance or something like that, but they mostly deal in parts, I don't think they have an actual "shop". If you're needing a good mechanic, try John over at www.jcautospec.com. Most of the more decnet shops are going to be in the Dallas/Houston area, we're stretched pretty thin here.

Depending on what you want the shop to do, Applied Racing Technology might work too.
They build road race Miatas and do general race car maintenance. They will also install
aftermarket items on your street car.

Tell Ed I said "hi". :)

Indeed, JCAuto is prolly the best Mazda/Rotary shop in Austin. Theyre all great guys, do awesome work, and Auto-X with the best of em! :)

yup, that freakin Miata they built is nuts, I wonder if they sold it already? (it has something like 330hp to the rear wheels or something crazy, bet it's a challenege to keep those back tires on the ground lol)

In my experience since '99:

For EVERTHING ROTARY from turbo 8 installation to simple tuneups/brake work, see John Long @ John & Corky's Automotive Specialist in Round Rock. He is absolutely honest, factory certified, does premium quality work AFFORDABLY, will be there next year & beyond, and has a special rate for paid members of TexasRxs Car Club of Austin. If my grandmother had a twin turbo 3 rotor, I would send her to him.

Don't embarrass me, John; send my endorsement fee check to the usual address.

LD.
