*NEW* DFW Meet....
 

Some people have shown interest in starting a new DFW meet, so I am proposing two locations that would make it so that the peeps up in addison as well as the people in the FW areas can all get together with it not being that bad of a drive for either side.

1. Buffalo Wild Wings-Irving- Off of 635 and McArthur.

If we do a Tuesday night meet it would be a $0.40 wing night as well as it being a cool place to hangout with people.

2. Flips Patio Grill-Grapevine-Off of 121 and Main St. (I believe)

I would say we do a Monday or a Tuesday night meet. Monday nights all well drinks are $2 and tuesday nights every type of beer is $2. Plus the food is pretty good. The one cool thing about this place is once it starts getting warmer at night we can hangout on the patio drinkin some beers while our cars are right there.

Anyways these are just ideas, if you are interested go ahead a pick which location you would prefer, maybe we could change it up every once in awhile. Also I am looking for this meet to become a bi-weekly thing so that we dont have to be out every week. Let me know if this sounds good to any of you! lata!

Id probably vote for flip's.. Never been but outside area sounds like a good environment.

I have talked to a couple of other FW guys and it sounds like they are down. Hopefully this thread will get us to make a decision on a place we all can meet up at.

Flips FTW. Used to go there with my sales team at work all the time. Food is good, service has always been good, and you can't shoot down $2 beers. I may not be a regular at first, but I'll be showing up.

So far about 5 rx8 peeps are down to go, plus there will be some people from dallasimports.net that will be there as well. I would like this to end up being an rx8/7 meet only but till we get more people to show up this is how it will be I guess. hope to get more people going it will be fun!

Yeah it is by southlake. Thanks for posting that up jptalky.....sounds like we have about 11-12 people from this forum going as well as some people from dallasimports.net. Looks like it will be a good turn out.

Sorry for the confusion. I dont know that part of DFW too well. I've been to the mall in grapevine and been to the center of southlake, but had NO idea how close those two places were.

The reason for the question was that I googled just "flips patio grill" and turns out there is two in the area. Sadly for me I didnt really look at the address (chalk it up to bored at work forum whoring and just browsing forums.

Funnily enough I figured the southlake one was closer, because taking 121 to Grapevine seems like it would take longer from keller, when actually it seems like taking 1709 or 121 might be about the same (slower speeds and lights)

Again if I am not making any sense its because I am so bored at work that I have fried my brain. Still unsure if I can go yet, might have a halo session with friends.

Hey sorry guys, I've been slackin for a few days. Grapevine is a cool town, and a great center between the DAL and FW groups. I just never seem to be off on the meeting nights, but my spirit is there.
