Can I get a quote for Slotted only, Front and Rear for a 2009 R3 with Hawk HPS pads, Brake Fluid and Silver/gunmetal caliper paint? Shipped to 78681 thanks!

It says 04-09 Sport suspension, on your main post, but I have a series 2 RX8 R3...is that included in your fitment? There is a post with an R3 with the kit installed above, just wanted to confirm!

This is a question for R1 Concepts:

How is the rust protection over time? I haven't really got confirmation one way or the other about the infamous "rust ring" and how R1 Concepts holds to their Lifetime Warranty? I have seen pictures online showing both rust issues, and some showing absolutely no issues.

Thank you for your interest. Well the premium rotors do come with a black rust protection coating applied to the center hub, inner vane structure, and outer rim of rotor. That will hold off the rusting quite well, however no iron rotor out there is an anti rust proof. I apologize but if there is going to be any rust appearance on the rotors; it should be around the crevices of the holes and the slots or close around the hub (where the brake pads can't come into contact with to swoop the rust away). Easy fix up for that is to spray the rotors entirely with any type of high temp spray paint. A thin layer is enough. Set it dry and install, let you brake pads do the rest of the job by taking off the excess of paint. Everywhere else will stay black. The rust ring is only on the Sport Suspension models front rotors since they are larger than the standard suspension rotors. The brake pads covers almost the entire surface of the standard suspension rotor so the ring is not a problem. We have a one year warranty on warping and there is a life time on cracking but the way lifetime works is that as long as the rotors has not reached their minimum thickness. It is also a one time exchange. I hope I answered all of your questions. Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

Damn, I want to buy these so bad for my R3, but I've never been able to find a dependable shop to help me out. Last place I went to, wanted $900 for installation.

F that. I hate not knowing crap about cars.

I wish. I live in a crowded Bronx neighborhood where it can take 2 hours to find parking. Police will probably ticket me for working on the sidewalk.

Hey there...actually have an order in the cart on your web site right now and just came across this so let's see if the pricing is any better

Sport susp, slotted (perfectly happy with the E-Line), stop tech pads, shipped to Brampton, Ontario, Canada L6P3X8.

Any idea what folks in Ontario are paying for duty/brokerage/taxes?

So I don't often take time to write something but I feel that Melvin and R1 deserve the recognition. I Ordered a set of rotors pads SS lines and a liter of ATE blue recently. During the process of ordering ATE blue as some may know has been banned by the DOT for use on public roads. Melvin took the time to personally message me asking if I still wanted the fluid in light of the recent ban. I opted to receive it as ordered despite the ban. When I received my order it was very well packaged and everything looked great. The only issue was that the fluid was missing. I messaged Melvin and got a response nearly immediately apologizing for the mishap and agreed to ship me a liter from their personal scathe to make it right for me. I have done a lot of online business for over a decade now and I have never came across a vendor that took responsibility for a mistake like this. Yes it was a mistake (although not entirely their fault) but for me its not the mistake that makes or breaks a company its how that mistake is handled and resolved that makes my decision to become a lifelong customer or a advocate for their demise... in this case its most definitely the former of the two. If you want a good quality OE style replacement for your brake system R1 is the place to go to know you will get taken care of right.

Thanks again Melvin.

Sounds like a good deal. I have an 04 rx8 but I have no idea what suspension I have like sport or normal. How can I find that out so I can order them. I've been told you can find out with the last 8 of the VIN#
