Having a big brake kit will provide superior braking capabilities. It would be a huge upgrade over what came factory stock. Just to give a couple advantages, they offer a firmer brake pedal, shorter stopping distances and it also gives you the super car look . They can be quite expensive but well worth the investment.

Per say I was just going with new front 13" rotors and calipers, would it throw off the braking distributions? Would I even be any better off with a front BBK?

Even if you just got the front upgraded, Stoptech develops their kits for each specific make and model of vehicle so that it would not disrupt the brake distributions. They are designed this way to give every vehicle consistent stops and the shortest brake distance as possible.
