Well, I think I got the set with the bad resistors :(

Sucks too, as I'm in Canada too and takes forever to get these things (just arrived).

There is nothing wrong with your resistors. I never opened the pack of incorrect resistors.

Unfortunately, I haven't installed a set on the Mazda3 yet. If you were local, I'd have you guys come over and install it for buddies.

On a side note, I do have directions for the Mazda6.

nvrfalter 10-22-2008 08:00 PM

if i were local, i woulda had you LED my entire fvcking car already haha.

are the wiring locations the same in the 6 as they are in the 8?

No, however, when I did the Mazda6 I found a way to do the parking light operation that would work on both cars and on the Mazda3.

If your friends when the footwells to come on with the head lights, then we should be able to work something out.

nvrfalter 10-22-2008 08:23 PM

alright ill look into it. we'll do the rest through pm so as not to clog up your thread

yea, good call.

RyanX-8 10-22-2008 08:52 PM

You could always bring them to circuit city... they should be able to hook them up for a few bucks. They have the audio garage there.

i can't wait to get mine!

Rotary Rasp 10-27-2008 03:46 PM

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. I'm going to be out of the country for the next 2 weeks. I will have very limited access to the internet. If there are any problems with the last shipment or problems with installation, please send me a PM and I will try to respond as soon as I can. It could be as long as a few days before you get a response.

I assure you that if there are any problems, they will be fully resolved in time. I ask the following of you guys: Please don't start a thread asking for help or complaining. Please don't post pictures of my installation guide or post your own pictures of where the wires are attached in the car.

Thanks

andylam85 10-28-2008 08:37 AM

So have you shipped out my order yet? Houston TX 77072. Thanks

it does look sweet tho

05rex8 10-29-2008 10:37 PM

^you must have spliced into the wrong harness

seems many people are doing that.

pm coming to ya

GTConversion 10-30-2008 09:53 AM

Got mine yesterday, and took a brief look through the instructions. I'll probably do it tonight or tomorrow.

My only concern is that RR said that I could remove it and 'return to stock', but there are wire splices - don't those cut the wires? Granted I'm not an electrical engineer, but I presume they've gotta make the connection somehow. I'd really hate to cut into these wires under my dash.

The splices don't cut the wires. They pierce the insulation to make contact with the copper wire. No damage is done and if removed there is barley any visible marks to the wire.

yea, you got the wrong wires. take a closer look at my pictures. if you can't get it working, take a picture of the wires you tapped and send me the photo.

risky business 10-31-2008 04:39 PM

:) i tapped into the left blinker wire haha... i laughed when i figured that out.... i ended up splicing into 3 different wires where are EXACTLY the same color i swear.... the third one what the one you have in your instructions... i took a very close view of your pictures and found it, love the end result!

RR, I just got looking at the instructions. Yes I take my time since
I got them about 1 month ago
eitherway
I ordered a front set and a rear set.
Where are the instructions for the rear set?
All I see is instructions for the front ones.
and which are which, they are not marked.
Oh have not really opened the packages.
Hope to install the front ones..in a week or so , hey no rush

J8635621 11-09-2008 12:18 AM

I don't know about the instructions for the rears, but I would bet they have much longer wires. PS make sure to squeeze the connectors extra hard so you get a good connection.

The rears have longer wires. Mount them under the seats. Everything else remains the same.

Let me know if you have further questions.

HWK11 11-10-2008 11:03 PM

best way to find out is to stick your head under there with the door open

Rotary Rasp 11-11-2008 04:30 PM

For a limited time, there will be NO additional charge for white leds.

GTConversion 11-11-2008 05:08 PM

I still haven't gotten mine to work. I'd PM you, but I'm not sure what you'd be able to do. My camera is dead so I can't take any pictures. From what I can tell I'm tapped into the right wires, and I've tried to crush them down as much as I can with pliers and no dice...

And damn, I didn't realize how freakin hard it is to get up in there under the dash lol..
