I knew it! I had a feeling it was because of Chevy. I just couldn't understand why PCA was allowed, but now I know.

Now I don't know what to do. I've already bought my Mid-Ohio ticket and hotel room, and I'm looking forward to that one. Not sure how I feel about not being in the track area at Belle Isle, and I doubt my wife would be thrilled with my being gone both weekends. Grrr. I feel like letting the air out of the tires of some big, bloated Camaros.

Is the parade laps scheduled after all the races again this year? not complaining just curious

 

Anyone have a calendar of events for Mid Ohio? I'm not coming up until Saturday AM and I don't want to miss getting some swag.

 

I'm leaving from work in NW Indiana Thursday at 5:00. I'll be napping at the gate over nite. Anyone doing likewise, look for my black Jeep. It's an 8hr drive.
I'll wave at Banzai Racing as I drive by.

 

I won't be leaving PA until Friday afternoon, showing up Saturday morning. Will be there Sunday as well.

I'll be leaving bright and bitchin' Saturday morning. I hope to enter the track gates at 9-10 a.m.

 

I'm heading down (from the Lansing, MI, area) Friday around 8:00 AM. My hotel is about 30 minutes away from the track. I'll probably check in and then hang out at the track a bit Friday, and then be there nice and early Saturday. Unfortunately, I have to drive back very early Sunday because I have to come in to work at 7:00 AM in Auburn Hills (4 hours away).

 

Ok guys, here is the skinny for Mid-Ohio. We wil be arriving around 8:00am on Friday to set up the corral. We will have goody bags for all, paddock tours and the like. We wil be serving lunch Saturday @ 1:30PM, with food the Bier Haus and dessert from the Cake Lady. Parade laps are Saturday after the Rolex race, you have been forwarned! We will have the sign up sheet and waivers avaialble on Friday. We will have the final schedule up by tomorrow.

 

Will the dyno be there this year?

 

I hope so. I want to dyno the Jeep.

 

I'll be seeing all of you at Mid-Ohio as well. I'm really looking forward to it, we had such a great time last year. We'll be there early Saturday morning. Just look for the Ohio "WANKEL" plates.

By the way, are you allowed to bring your own beer to Mid-Ohio? I'm assuming you can, since I can't find anything prohibiting it in their rules. I bought some really good IPA today while getting water for the trip, and I would love to put a few beers in the cooler for Saturday (and maybe Friday afternoon).

I'm primarily interested in when the parade laps are so I know whether to arrive early saturday or not

That's cool, Al. I wish I had seen more of that race. I was walking around the paddock when it started, and by the time I got to where I could watch some, it was almost over.
