Rx8Performance.com -Great Service and Product

Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Scott at Rx8Performance.com. I will definitely be ordering from him again. I run a 2004 Rx8 in Touring 4 with the SCCA. I had some issues with oil temps earlier in he season. We had a race this weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park and it was gonna be hot. I was worried my oil temps would start to cook seals and destroy seal springs. Of course I didn't think about this till the last minute and was suddenly in a panic as to what to do. Did I just need to change ducting or go with bigger coolers? A buddy sent me a link to the oil cooler kit Rx8Performance makes. I called and talked to Scott and described my setup, issues, etc. He explained the kit and all the parts and what they had found. I ended up ordering one and pulled the old oil coolers and piping out over the weekend. I think he might have even gone in on the weekend to put the kit together for me as I am not sure they stock them but rather custom build to order. There were issues charging my card (my card turned him down as an abnormal location) so he got a hold of me first thing Monday and we sorted that out. The interesting part is I called him from my office phone to order on Friday and never gave him my cell. When the card got declined he researched me online and found an article a local paper did on I and my wife that had out company website, he got my cell from there. Not many companies would do that, he knew I was in a rush to get the parts so put in the extra time and effort to make it happen. I got the kit Wednesday and installed it that night. Everything fit great, lines and fitting looked perfect, nice coolers. Every part included. I had questions and emailed him some pics to confirm I got things right and had an answer right away. Great service. I'll post pictures of the kit and installation in the series I garage modifications area. I'll definitely be ordering from Scott again. The kit was expensive but when I looked at what was included and priced it out I don't think I would have saved much if any building it myself with equal quality parts.

The sad part is I never got to test the kit. I was loaded up on the way to NJMP when my truck brakes blew a steel line I and I had to get towed home (luckily no bent sheet metal or injuries) . I'll be testing the car mid August and will see how the temps do then.

I blew my 7 or 8 year old electric water pump at the track last Friday. Called Scott for a replacement and he got it shipped out the next day.

It arrived packed for an atomic explosion and he even included some nuts/bolts and spacers for a bracket because they are a hard to find size.

Great service and great communication.....

I just bought the Aluminum Separator Tank and a angle bracket for the OBD2 sensor. While I have some minor nitpicks which I'll write about in a review, the shipping got to me quick (despite some paypal address nonsense) and Scott was great with communication. These are my 3rd and 4th products from RX8Performance (one was second hand, however) and I'm quite happy with the products thus far.

Reviving this older thread to contradict your guys' good guy stance on Scott from RX8performance. It seems that unless you're a driver for some form of rotary competition Scott won't and doesn't give two ****s about you or making sure you get the things you've ordered and paid for. I ordered an air separator tank with the fan control relays and an oil cooler fan kit over 3 months ago and every time I try to inquire about it or call him he just blows me off and says he's busy working on someones car for some event and he'll get me tracking numbers as soon as he can, but they never come. I will never do business with him again and I highly encourage that no one else does either.

Well I never had any problems, but that was at least 4 years ago and situations change.

I suppose it depends how you paid and whether you agreed to be billed in advance or not. Otherwise you should have bailed several months ago considering those parts can be bought else where.

supposedly they’re a forum vendor, so perhaps you should get a moderator involved and ping either Travis or Dannobre

Second for Dannobre, that guy is someone I've met in person, and is a fantastic human being. I don't know how much sway he'll have, but I'm sure he'd go out of his way to help you.
