Mediocre Guy: Tasca Parts

Liked them a lot when I had my RX-8, almost 5 years ago now. Great prices, reliable shipping, solid communication, etc. No longer, apparently – at least on the communication front.

Placed an order last week and had zero communication from them since then. No response to multiple emails. Live chat worked when I was placing the order; now it says they're online but doesn't let me do anything but leave a message, which of course is not returned. Dug up their phone number and called; no one picked up on multiple attempts. Most recently, the call dropped just one ring after I picked an option on the phone tree, so now I wonder if they're avoiding me.

Their recent online reviews include a lot of similar complaints. I actually saw them before placing the order but went ahead anyway because of my previous good experiences. Lesson learned.

You may have just donated money to a dead company. I had this exact same thing happen in February where I paid $4500 for a computer system. Payment went through and all communication stopped 2 weeks later. It took 4 months for the credit card company to drag the funds out. I didn’t know the company died until I searched complaints on the internet. Good luck

I've had poor experiences recently with Tasca as well. Ordered a bunch of stuff, and after some weeks without contact, turns out they didn't actually have anything to sell, and hadn't ordered the parts from their supplier, which was in turn on back order. I ordered from a different company who was honest about their inventory and ability to actually sell the things they were accepting money for. Took the same amount of time, slightly more money, but less BS.

WEEKS? Ouch. That sucks.

Looks like what you did is what I'm gonna have to do.

possible alternative option, but post-covid it’s hard to be sure …
