checking bennettbuilt, just making sure
A young man with mechanical aptitude can probably make a good living repairing 8s the right way with strong business ethics and practices.
I wish I had discovered how rewarding rotaries are 30 years ago.
It would've been a good side job to supplement my income, but I doubt it would've surpassed my machinist salary to warrant starting a standalone business.
Someone will be needed to fill in the inevitable loss of the OG rotary experts.
Maybe there are some out there who are picking up the slack, but aren't known yet.
I can hope, because I know my wrenching days are numbered, and Kyle the Rotary Doctor in Neosho is too far for anything but engine rebuilding or
replacement, and he ain't exactly young either.
hey i know this is old but i just purchase from Bennett built and i got scammed 2 and a half weeks and he wont answer my emails and my item has not even shipped
I ordered 3 items from BennettBuilt in April. My credit card was charged $589 on 4/19/14. Two of the items were shipped on 5/3/24 and received with an invoice or $284 as order 3928 . The third item, a Koyo Radiator, has not yet shipped. I've tried twice to contact him via email and have yet to receive a response. Obviously, I want the order promptly shipped or my card credited. Something prevents me from sending a PM via the club. Does anyone have another means of contacting this guy? TIA
Sad to hear, I used to deal with Tim a lot back in the day, nothing but great experiences. I do believe he is mostly moved on from the rotary community. I know he had a child and bought a new house which caused them to relocate a few years ago. Which also led to him selling a an rx8 and rx7, along with tools and parts.
If you can't get ahold of him I would issue a claim with your credit card.

well he finally shipped the item thankfully, he still never responded to my emails or thru his website but on the shop app and on usps website it says that the package is moving now so lets see when it gets here to see if its what i order. I hope it is because i really want the coolant tank lol
I have ordered two coolant expansion tanks from him and have had zero issues in the past. I've been more than happy with the tanks and its a shame to read that Tim has had some issues as of late. I wish him the best and hope he is able to get back on track.
