BAD GUY: VS8. BEWARE!!! Sold me damaged wheels claimed they were in 10/10 condition
 

VS8 sold me chrome Ebay knock off wheels claiming they were Shinka wheels. They are chromed Ebay wheels that are pitted and flaking. He told me three were in 10/10 condition and one was in 9/10 condition. Ill let you decide. Here is our conversation from PM's too to prove this guy is a fraud.

I'm sorry, but that's what you get for buying something without pictures, especially on something that costs this much. Not taking sides but, it was not too smart to purchase without pictures and take someones word for it on the internet.

I know but I figured a guy who has been on here since May 2007 and has 621 posts could be somewhat trusted as he has been selling other goods on here w/o complaints. Guess he chose to take me. If this doesnt get resolved with the seller I have a attorney down in his area that will press charges against him, so he will not get away with this either way.

Yes, lesson has been learned. I have been buying parts from forums since 2000 and have never had a problem like this, guess I have just been getting lucky.

i don't know how this can be put on the OP. yes, pictures should have been exhanged so he would have known ahead of time and that should have been a red flag when VS8 wouldn't provide it but it still doesn't take anything away from the fact they were misrepresented. there are always two sides so i'd love to hear VS8's side as to how those are 10/10 and shinka wheels.

people don't demand pics because they don't want to lose the "deal", so they jump on a FS thread sight unseen.

that should have been the first warning sign to the buyer.

I'm sure vs8 didn't know what he was selling, as I believe the wheels came on the car when he bought it, if I remember correctly.

also VS8 didn't say all were 10/10, he said one was a 9/10 with some flaking, which the buyer showed the pics of. Unfortunately people's meaning of 9/10 or 10/10 is going to be different than another guys meaning of it. Thus pictures are absolutely needed before buying in this case.

I have also never seen Shinka wheels in person, I assumed they were more of a shiny gunmetal/chrome and the one pic he provided was a camera phone picture so it looked like it could have been a Shinka wheel with the low color resolution of the phone cam he took it with.

He also said the small flake on the 9/10 wheel was 1/2 an inch. The flake is over 2 inches long!! I also asked if it was peeling, he said no, it is obviously peeling.

Mee too, I would love to hear the explaination. He has looked at this thread at 2:31pm, 3:14pm, 3:21pm with no response. He is also online because he is viewing other threads as well.

they are darker and polished. regardless of that, the seller presented them as shinka and they are not so they were misrepresented. shinka wheels command a premium so they should not have been sold as such if the seller didn't know if they were.

So Jourdan (VS8), what is your response? You have been on this forum many times, read this thread, posted in other threads, and you will not respond to my PM. You have a lot of people sticking up for you, but you dont have the courage to come on here to say that you screwed me. Whats the deal?

These wheels were not "perfect" by any representation

As for if they were worth the money paid...that's not any of our business....but they are far from perfect.

There is fault on both sides here.....I would think that if the buyer doesn't want them HE should pay to have them shipped back...and THEN be refunded his money

This shouldn't all be blamed on the seller....

I never asked for the TPMS, its not my responsibility to sell the TPMS to get my wheels fix that you said were perfect.

In one post I said it is 2+ inches and int the other I said almost 3 inches, it is right in between. In your PM to me your exact words were "it is on the edge and it is about half and inch this wheel will not start peeling" It is a lot more than 1/2 and inch and it is clearly peeling when you stated it wasnt.

Clearly they are not and you were hiding the facts to not post pictures, that is why you took the For Sale ad down and you even removed the picture of the one wheel that you did have posted in the thread, all a cover up.

What you did is a Class C Felony. A Interstate Commerce transaction over $500, which involves fraud attributable to the misrepresentation of a product advertised for sale through an Internet site. This is when the FBI gets involved. I have a agent coming to my office on Monday to get information from me. I can press charges or we can work something out here. Its your call. I have all transcripts of our conversations. I already gave you my request on what we can do to fix this via PayPal and a PM which you have not responded to either and are claiming to not get my PM.

I agree therefore I paid $500 for the wheels plus $80 to get them shipped to me.
I should then be refunded the $500 and the seller(VS8) should pay to have these wheels picked up from me since I already paid to have these shipped to me one way. I will settle for that and clear his name of making bad deals.

I have met VS8 at a few meets and he seems to be a good guy, your an idiot for buying wheels without a pic of each wheel. From the pics posted the wheels do not appear to be 10/10 though. But i think you learned a lesson buying online and everyone has to learn that sooner or later. JMHO.
