Bad Guy, Mcnair Performance
HA! I finally found the name of those jerks. I have been trying to remember there name for a while now so I could post them on here!
McNair Performance in Raleigh NC are ripoffs. When I first bought my 8 I didnt know much about them. I flooded my engine so I was told to take it to them since they specialized in rotaries. I had my car towed there and they charged me $450 to unflood my engine!! I honestly think they took advantage of me being a female and not knowing what was wrong with the car. $450??!! AND they kept it for over 2 weeks?! For something I can now do myself for free in 5 minutes?! I was at a meet Saturday and this kid was there talking about the shop who worked on his 7 in Raleigh, it was them.. Thats how I got there name. He said he took it to them for 1 small thing and when they called him to get his car they told him he owed 10K yes 10K for the work they had done. He could have bought a few engines for what they charged him! |
wooow..thanks for the info..now i know where not to go..i live about 2 hours from there..and was wondering if there were shops about the east coast n.c. areas.. but now i know.. it's too bad people just cant be fair and honest these days..

Actually Flea they gave you the standard dealer quote to deflood. My car was at a collision center, I warned them on how it floods, taped a sign to my steering wheel also. What did they do...flooded it the first day of a five day visit.
They ended up paying...$450 for a deflood and new plugs  :Eyecrazy: . Insane, since we know what it takes to get it back running normaly. Take care, Brian |
^ So, um, they're no better than a dealership? Sounds like the thread is accurate to me. ;)
