^^That explains it!! I never saw those pics till now. So, just imagine some amateur (prob himself) whipping up a bunch of bondo with fiberglass strips, slapping them all over the cracks, then slapping another layer of bondo on top of that, NOT sanding it out smooth and spraying it with black primer. It looks like the nose has a bad case of acne, bumps and uneven spots everywhere. The bigger cracks werent even filled its....its just a disaster. There looks to be an attempt to fix it but it still looks horrid. Do you really believe i would have bought that thing after it was in that bad of shape at one time??? Hell no. Thats not even worth headache of even attempting to repair it. I didnt expect it to be spot on perfection (cuz most kits need SOME work), but i wasnt expecting to get a second hand, wrecked, half ass repaired bumper thats fo sho.

See i NEVER knew it was damaged in the first place. He never mentioned at any point that it had once been damaged or that he had work done to it. He acted as if it were all ship shape and that I was one step ahead because it was already primered black, which i figured would work out for me cuz i have dark color (Nordic G). I even asked about the fitment and he said he had it on his car for a little bit to see how it looked, it fit fine, and then he decided to get ED bumper due to not liking the look of the Vielside. No freakin way he had that on his car. That right corner is also still broke off. I dont see how well he could have mounted that thing.

I was totally mislead from the jump. Not that im surprised, now that we have seen what this kid is capable of, but damn. You should see the pics he sent of it, you cant tell as he angles it certain ways and shoots from just far enough away to hide the flaws. It IS a lil hard to spot with camera shots from 5+ feet away (which is at least where u need to be to fit most of bumper in pic), but as you will see when i get around to taking pics, from the correct angles and distance, its quite obvious. Plus he didnt show the busted right corner in any pics.

It is just too big for a novice packager like myself to deal with. I know it sounds like a common story but I bought the kit and decided it was just not what I wanted. I am going w/ a carbon fiber front and have no use for this. It has not been touched, so it is just as I got it. Never been fitted, never been checked on the car. There are no real problems w/ it that I can see, but you are welcome to see for yourself. Since I know of your last problems please ask for the pictures and I will send you any angle any close up you want. I also have the sides and the rear but that will cost $100.00 as I have interest in the sides. The rear has been banged up a little and would need some work but you are welcome to it if you want. As I said, I really have no use for it and it is taking up space in the garage. Since you seem to have a deal on shipping I thought you could get this one cheap and see if it works for you. Nope i didnt get anything. (i paid straight from my bank account through paypal, i dont have paypal credit account) He has to have enough $ in his account to cover ALL claims. So, if he put just enough in there to cover yours then im (and anyone else involved) SOL until more is put in there. And i think he's tryin to wiggle out of paying my $ back as well, see below....

I just recieved an email today from paypal saying that Brian just notifed them that the bumper was picked up and that i have it, looks as if Brian failed to let them know that the bumper was "not as described" and it was damaged all to hell and that he STILL owes the money. Seems to look like he thinks because i have the bumper that Paypal will drop the claim against him. Oh how he is so wrong as i replied to Paypal with a link to this thread as well as link to the recent emails he sent me promising to refund my money through paypal. I guess its just more waiting....

wow i just read through this and realized i met this guy a few months ago at a gto meet in pa, before i got my rx8 and remember him saying he got a veilside bumper for free that was damaged. that sucks sorry about what happened.

update: I officially have a negative balance on my credit card so I got the money back. Finally.

I was just notifed today that Paypal wont pay me a dime because i had the bumper picked up and it wasnt shipped by the seller.

So the money he put in there that he thought was to pay my claim, likely paid yours. He has told me he is going to send me money order for the reimbursment so we will see it if that happens or not.

Im glad you got ur money back at least. I will remain optimistic for a lil bit longer...
