Looks like the batmobile to me. Too gaudy for my taste.

Betch though it would whip most anything out there...

Would much rather have the Ferrari Superamerica...

BlueEyes 09-08-2005 10:49 AM

Ferrari superamerica is like a toyota camry compared to this thing.

THe interior, which is what I assume you think is to gaudy, is totally customizable. My, it would be all black with aluminum trim.

Didn't know that... but I wouldn't hack on the Superamerica with 600 HP (not sure but this number sticks in my head) and paddle F1 transmission (that I am sure of). Plus the automatic top up/down system is cool :D

But then I don't have 1/2 million to spend :( (the Superamerica is almost 400K) not sure what the other hot rod costs...

Photic 09-08-2005 10:53 AM

I saw that car on Top gear. They loved it. Especially the convertible edition. 0-60 in something like 3.2

BlueEyes 09-08-2005 10:53 AM

This has a little comparo of Zonda F, CGT, and F430
http://supercarfreak.net/gallery/album1385

Here is more info on the Zonda F.

It's one of those "if you have to ask...." cars.

Superamerica only has 540 Hp (65 less), and weighs a good 1000 lbs more than the Zonda F.

FoxTypeR 09-08-2005 10:55 AM

I prefer the Zonda driven on Top Gear. All the carbon fiber styling on this one makes it look far too ostentatious.

BlueEyes 09-08-2005 10:56 AM

That's what it is man, one big middle finger to the rest of the world. "I made it, FU!!"

Glyphon 09-08-2005 11:34 AM

not being a fan of the CF look, i don't really care for that aspect of it. but it is definately not a car that i would turn down.

mikeb 09-08-2005 12:44 PM

thanks for sharing

Baller 09-08-2005 12:51 PM

Awesome, brilliant....I want one

PetersonPeleRx8 09-08-2005 01:14 PM

I think, at least this was true last I heard, that there is only one Zonda in the United States right now. And it's owned by no other than Wyclef Jean...

Such a sweet car thanks for sharing!!!

Ajax 09-08-2005 03:18 PM

that's a lot of carbon fiber..

Aoshi Shinomori 09-08-2005 04:17 PM

I'm not a huge fan of most Zonda's but this one is pretty sweet. 605 horsepower in a nice light car like that is pretty insane. Is this car in Gran Turismo 4? If so I'll have to give it a ride this weekend. :D

BlueEyes 09-08-2005 05:14 PM

I think they have it, GT3 did. I doubt it's the F though.

socal4ever2005 09-08-2005 05:25 PM

those pics are amazing! what a beautiful piece of equipment! what car is that???

psbjames1970 09-08-2005 08:34 PM

So if there is ONE Zonda... what's the point of getting it here. The DOT and EPA wouldn't probably allow it on the road (USA laws are stupid sometimes) untill you wreck a few of them and then put the right emmisions.

The one that is supposedly in the US is probably here on a temporary visit anyway.

Sorry, rather that Superamerica. The ZONDA may be SWEET (I don't doubt that at all) but

"You can't always get what you want"...

I can still aspire to purchase a Ferrari though... Plan to be rich yknow...

as far as I know, if a manufacturer builds or sells less than 500 (?) vehicles of a particular model then it is exempt from EPA regs. I think I just read it in Motortrend (last month's edition).

Don't they still have to crash a few though???

If so, perhaps a zonda could be in my sights ... When I win the MegaMillions

JeRKy 8 Owner 09-09-2005 12:04 AM

That's a terrible name for such a hot car. "Zonda"

Could have been a little more creative.

playdoh43 09-09-2005 12:16 AM

Zonda isnt too bad, its better than Pagani Panda? I'd still prefer the prancing horse

Yeah, I just drove it in GT4. It's so freakin light! What a nice ride. The one in the picture though...they went all out with the carbon fiber. Is that actual carbon fiber or does it just look like it? I would imagine that that would add on to the price considerably.

Steiner 09-09-2005 10:11 PM

Who woulda thunk something that rhymes with "Honda" could be so cool?

You may be right about Wyclef Jean but for some reason I thought Andre Agassi was the guy who owned it...or was that a Vector.

It's all carbon fibre. At less than 2800 lbs, it really couldn;t be anything else.

playdoh43 09-10-2005 02:36 PM

whats so good about carbon fiber anyways? i know they are light weight but they dont seem that strong to me. I never had any CF parts on my car but Ive had CF plates in many pairs of my basketball shoes. Nike Flightposite shoes used to have them in the sole to re-inforce the shoe, but after a while after hooping in them a lot, they seem to be real easy to crack. I just dont see it as that strong of a material, and they arnt flexible like aluminum, they just crack...

It depends on which direction you apply a force. In one direction, the carbon fiber is extremely strong compared to its weight. If you apply that same force perpendicular to the first direction though, it is very weak.

playdoh43 09-10-2005 03:14 PM

cool thanx for the info

rotarenvy 09-10-2005 08:19 PM

nice car but the interior is truly awful!
the interior looks like it should be in an office from the 1600's.

BlueEyes 09-11-2005 02:01 PM

You can customize the interior. As well, from what I have heard, it looks a lot better in person than in photos.

williamngRX8 09-11-2005 02:56 PM

dont like it at all.
interior looks rice. our rx8 interior looks way better.

i wud chose aston martin DB9 coupe anytime :D

I don't think you people understand. You're paying over a half a million for a car, you get your interior the way you want it. The interior is one of the most praised aspects of this car. Chalk this one up to bad taste onthis guys part if you will. I still say, in person, it would look a lot better. Here are a few more to chew on. And DB9....you could buy 5 for the price of a zonda, a different colour for every work day.

By the way, here's a little more eye candy... I think I could live with the CF, supercars get a pass for being garrish in my book. These cars also come with a matching set of custom luggage that fits perfectly in it's compartments.

10kRPMS 09-11-2005 06:54 PM

I'm not a fan of the spaceship-y look of the center console. I do like that black/tan combo though. I've always thought colors like that would look amazing on the 8 instead of that weird brown they have.

I'm also a sucker for the dark brown and black BMW interior. I almost got a 325Ci just because I like that interior so much.

i can never understand what justify a car to worth half a million.

if i were to have that money, i wud buy a house and still have spare for a DB9 ;)

Rhawb 09-12-2005 06:24 AM

Well, when you're throwing half a mil at a car, you've got enough money to not be worried about money.

People that buy this car and cars like it most likely have hundreds of millions of dollars and are probably maintaining a steady income of millions.

I want to be rich :(

BlueRenesis82 09-12-2005 11:11 AM

I would buy a used F1 car.

mauricio 09-18-2005 10:38 PM

looks nice the interior is way to ugly

tiggerlee 09-18-2005 10:41 PM

Not a fan of the CF look.

Baller 09-18-2005 11:00 PM

Carbon fiber will rule the earth one day.......soon

rx8wannahave 09-19-2005 09:22 AM

I saw a top gear vid about this car...it's a little strange looking but still a sexy beast!
