Anyone try this minicat?

Hello all,

Haven't seen much about it yet, but take a gander at the link below:

Prosport Mini Cat O2 Sensor CEL FIX 90 Degrees - Universal Import Image Racing

Just looking to get some general discussion out of its usefulness. If I was brave I would try it, maybe someone else has? Would be a nice fix but I'm not too hopeful.

Won't work. Will trigger a slow response CEL, same as if you were to use a J pipe

On that one I wouldn't be so sure, with some creative plumbing it might work ... but might not.

I actually spoke to the guy who made this one several years ago: O2 Simulator, mini catalytic Converter cel fix

Guy was very knowledgeable and actually had worked with an RX8 owner. Told me it never ended up working. Works fine for _most_ piston engines.

If it was plumbed deadend style like a typical O2 fooler I could see that being the case

Note I specifically stated "creative plumbing". Could still be wrong though. It was just an idea on something that might simulate an OE cat given the right circumstances. Without knowing all the details it's hard to say if they actually tried it the way I'm seeing it in my mind's eye ...

I haven't tried this one but I've done this mod on a TON of cars and from the experiance it looks like it would work well. Its kinda pricy tho, you can usually do this for $5.
