Why Sports Cars are often the most reliable used cars

Smoking turbo yay
I wouldn't say the RX-8 is that much more practical. I do like the rear doors, but it's not the most ideal city car or road trip car.
Pony cars and Muscle cars have always come in base trim levels with weak engines, lackluster suspensions, shitty interiors, etc.
The Ecoboost Mustang and 2.0 Turbo Camaro are least performers in terms of engines and you can get them with almost every performance option you can get on the higher trim levels. And the TT Ecboost v6 in the Mustang will be a game changer I think. But saying someone who owns a turbo 4 version of the car doesn't know the car is just silly. Just as silly as saying everyone who drives rotary has a clue.

I have actually tried to fit tons of stuff in my RX-8 on occasions, and I was surprised at how much stuff I can put in there.
As for Ecoboost, I know someone with an Ecoboost with all the interior option of a GT, and while the engine pulls good, the sound it makes just throws off the whole experience. Ecoboost is also considered a step up from the V6, being more powerful and have better low-end torque, but a turbo four banger is still a four banger, so the econobox sound and the torque fluctuation are still there. It's just that the masses aren't usually aware of these. IMO, I4T really belongs in hot hatches or higher trim family cars, just not a pony/muscle. I may give the V6T a look, though. At least V6 tends to sound better and is a bit smoother than I4.
The Mustang driver stereotype is probably an overstatement, I will admit. There is a point you see a car on the road every single day and get sick of it, even if it's a good-looking car, and I guess that's just a big downside for me. I want to have a car where I wave and give a thumbs up when I see another one, not one where I am like "Great, another one." and groan.
