It doesn't have enough clearance to go over the bodies and the little pointy things will prevent the bodies from sliding over the roof. This vehicle should have been planned better.

Any guesses on how many hundreds of thousands of miles/km this 8 has run on with the same oil?

I'm about to send a 8 year 8k mile oil change for analysis using Mobil 0w40.

Ain't even worried.
Post the results, I'm curious. I'm sure the oil stock can handle the mileage, but having used oil acid sitting on the bearing metal for years can't be great.

That's what I mean, the oil itself might be fine, but how much metal has it picked up. I don't have a horse in the fight whether it's good or not, just asking for the data you're offering

I do 3k mile changes with 5W-20 conventional oil.

The main thing about the 8 is that you can't drain out that much oil out of the engine. In my S2, the engine holds 7 L while each oil change drains out 4ish L. That's below 60% of new oil in the car.

On most piston cars, you can get at least 90% of the oil out and you can use synthetic, so yeah 5k+ miles is nothing.

Yeah, I just drained that 8 year old 7700 mile oil, and it was light yellowish brown. Sample going off today, but I ain't scared. I'm 67 and car might outlast me anyway.
