What ever happened to the more durable glass cars were supposed to have?
Hey whats up folks? I was reading an article the other day on the body of cars and how they will begin to make them similarly ot clothign that use micro fibers.
Basically on a very small scale it will be mixed with diff types of metals, making the car lighter, and much more durable ( I forget the actual name for it) ANyway this reminded me of another article I read maybe 5 or 6 years ago that explanied how a new type of glass was being manufactured and to be installed in cars that was much more durable, and would not allow a large portion of the suns ray's in, there by not making the inside of your car an oven... Does any1 else remember reading anythign about this? I was just wondering whatever happend to the idea? |
No...but alot of the hyped up idea's we hear and then disapear, almost always has a good reason behind it (cost, safety, problems, etc).
I'm waiting on better automotive paint, self driving cruise control for those long trips, and a 3-rotor engine to change the world....lol, oh...I know how to dream...lol. |
