This Volvo fairly screams, "I'm scared of my car."
a very witty review found here
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...TGE6M47051.DTL a few of my favorite quotes the perfect convertible for people who'd never buy one the worst auto acronym ever, ROPS The haunches -- ones that only a butcher or a hungry coyote could love the Pontiac G6 -- a car only slightly more flawed than the C70 :D: |
I used to really love the old model the first few years it was out, then it quickly looked dated. This new one looks like shit though. I was really disaapointed.

I think this is the first article I've seen that doesn't like the new styling - and I completely agree. The front end is taken from the S40 (a compact car) but the C70 is a midsize. This leaves the car looking unbalanced. The rear, while stylish, seems proportionally too big. It’s almost like looking at two different car spliced together behind the door.
I really like the old C70 and would probably buy one for my next car if they would have been offered in 4wd. The older model had 20 more hp as well. However, I do like the new interior much better. |
New York Times auto critic did not like the new Volvo convertible either. Rather scathing like this article.
Seems to be a critic miss, maybe it'll be a sales success though. |
I think they've been out for awhile, and Ive only seen 1 on the road, and that was right next to a dealership, so I don't think it will be a success. The s90 on the other hand, they did a really good job with.

It probably needs to be cheaper. Too many other more appealing convertibles out there. |
