DarkLord7854 12-19-2008 02:38 PM

I wonder how much HP it'd get on a miniature dyno.. :p:

And maybe a robot could be built to work the pedals and transmission and be controlled from a remote control

Jedi54 12-19-2008 02:53 PM

and he wants to SELL IT?! :(

warwickben 12-19-2008 03:04 PM

i love that video. i know it would of cost more to make but tobad he didnt make it big enough for a kid to drive lol.

Jedi54 12-19-2008 03:09 PM

yeah, he should have taken notes from the guy who built a Lamborghini in his basement

exsequor 12-19-2008 03:41 PM

You guys have never seen this? I guess I'm secretly too much of a geek for you all. I've known about this guy for about 6-7 years thanks to slashdot. He is amazing. There are so many unappreciated people out there like him. I've heard of telecommunications engineers manufacturing their own vacuum tubes to the exact resonating specifications that they made them back in the day (by hand).

This guy spent about 10 years just getting the gear box, linkage, transmission & drivetrain to work correctly! Insane that anyone could do this just off of photographs and visiting it real life.

he's not selling it...
he plans on making them in a limited quantity and selling them to enthusiasts. I don't blaim him considering how he spent so many years figuring everything out and now he knows how to integrate the building into an assembly line.

Ok the car is great, who cares. I want to know who is that girl in your signature.

mazdaverx7 12-20-2008 11:32 PM

the guy is a genius through and through. thats extremely impressive. Ferrari should give that guy a job, lol.

Potentiated 12-21-2008 02:42 AM

Maybe Ferrari can hire that guy to redesign the California convertible exterior from scratch. It is possibly the ugliest Ferrari in history. Terribly designed.

SiLVeRE8 12-21-2008 04:27 AM

wow i never expected to see that this actually runs... if i was the ceo of ferrari, i would probably just gift him a ferrari for his effort, patient, and persistent.

Bumble_Bee 12-21-2008 01:21 PM

First time for me... That's pretty amazing!
