Turbo Rx8

If i had a turbo rx8 what would the gas milage be? i just got an rx8 and wanna make the most out of it but at the same time want it to be my daily driver. And is it possible to get the Renesis to hit atleast 300rwhp?

Since I havn't seen your bunch of other posts, I will be nice and reply. From what I have gathered, your gas mileage wont be affected much if you are driving it as a daily. But if you plan on driving more aggressive then you may see a more noticable decrease.

As far as 300rwhp, its possible, but not many people have achieved it with "just" a turbo install. Generally people convert to alcohol injection and various other tweaks to the engine.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong as I dont have a turbo build, but in any event, you can always search and read the 100+ threads about this.

The rx8 is a very costly car to maintain stock.... that being said a turbo will only add that much more potential for "problems". I know this isn't the most insightful reply, but really we need more info about your resources to tell you exactly what would be most effecient setup.

<----- Well over 300rwhp, running over a year and thats with a ton of tuning experiments.

Your mpg won't be affected very much at all during normal driving conditions. You may gain/lose 1 or so mpg.

As with all horsepower estimates, yes 300 rwhp is possible. The bigger question is how long will the engine last? There's no real way to tell. Your engine could last 5 months or 5 years.

I would suggest doing the good bolt ons for the car before you jump right into a turbo kit. And why do you want a turbo? Do you autocross or track the car? Or do you just want more street power? Don't just assume you need to go from 180 rwhp to 300 rwhp. That much power in a 3,000 lb car isn't very usable on the street without breaking the law.

more than water\meth or engine tweaks i'd directly say "properly sized turbo" for that power range :)
