UK here, we have Normal Unleaded (95Ron) around £1.38 per litre and V-Power (98Ron) which is what I feed "Roxy" is £1.48 per litre... so for a full 60 litre tank you're looking £80.

What's it currently over the pond?

I just filled my GT500. 93 octane. $3.29 USD / gallon. How that translates to liters and pounds I haven't a clue. Lol

Well, there's 3.79 litres to a US gallon... so that's around $0.86 per litre so... £0.54p per litre in GBP... blimey... now that is cheap!

Are you sure you want to know? It ranges a fair bit but: cheaper, much much cheaper.

In WA, I can get a US gallon of 92 octane for $3.56 at costco to $3.83 at a much more convenient shell station. That's $56 to $60 for a tank. Or £35 to £37. A lot of states have cheaper gas than WA, a few have more expensive.

The most I've ever paid for gas was a hair over $5/US gallon, but that was 87 so lets call it $5.50. You're paying about $8.89/us gallon. And people get pissed when it hit's $4 :D

In reality, we pay more via taxes spent on our military, and for 99% of the country a completely useless public transit system. But that becomes very hard to calculate.

PS: If you've noticed I've said US gallon and are wondering why, the other country in the world that uses "gallons" uses a different gallon that's slightly larger. 1 US Gallon is about .8 imperial gallons.

yep, we dive much more and further distances than most Europeans, so our fuel consumption is higher and we have to keep it cheaper.

Price here is similar to RadRed. It's as low as $3.06 for premium here, and as high as $3.59. Depends on the station you go to.

Those are not the reasons why gas is much cheaper there over here.

the price of gas has come down a bunch in the last month or so, we had a refinery fire in California, and since we have special gas in California, they had to start rationing.

we do R+M/2, in 87,89,91 octane. the really expensive station got up to $5.67 a gallon ($1.50 a liter?), of course its come down, i think the station on the corner is $4.40 a gallon today ($1.16L?)

I just bought a tank of Regular for my truck...it was $3.39 a US gallon.... which is about $.90 a litre

$2.89/gallon this morning for regular. Live in a state with very low taxes on gas.

The taxes you pay per unit are higher than what we pay. Also European refineries are setup to produce more diesel than in the US. The US also produces enough oil to be independent of imported crude. If there was the political will, we would be an exporting country.

I agree, taxes are a major part and having to pay our government for leases to pilfer our oil, I just filled my car at Sams club for 3.36 per gallon premium..

Sadly we are an exporting country, have been for decades, we just don't benefit from any of it.. The big oil corporations do though..

It's actually not a bad plan. The Saudi's are beginning to deplete their stocks. Can you imagine what is going to happen to a middle east country when they no longer have oil revenue?

The new drilling techniques gave them more time to think... They said that oil was going to last for only 30 more years or so... 30 years ago. Now they still say 30.
The truth is, we don't know how much oil there is out there. Russia is close to finding some in his northern seas apparently. I'm sure that would piss us off, they already sell natural gas to too many places.

The US' strategy is great on paper, i hope it doesn't upset too many people around the globe when they start implementing it.
After oil there will be natural gas, then hydroelectric energy and finally windmills and solar panels i guess. I know for a fact the "greens" here prefer using carbon and oil to produce electricity rather than "ruining" the landscape with windmills. Douches.
However the rising prices and taxes imposed by the UE and Monti are seeing people react by installing solar panels over their roofs and small windmills in their countryhouses. My father has a 3kw windmill in his garden and it powers the house well 70% of the time, he relis on the grid for the remaining 30%.
Unfortunately i'm sure will try to find solution only when we're starving... which will be too late to avoid carnage.

No-one will do anything for you for less than $100/hour
You can not watch anything without having advertising slammed down your throat, including sports like puffs rugby.
It cost about $1000/hour to see a Doctor or Dentist

We all live in an economy each have their pro's and cons but your going to pay somewhere, at least in Florida the weather is amazing ;-)

4.26 USD per gallon last night for 93 octane. Right at 14 gallons cost me a little over $60 USD.
