Saturn is going to get some really nice looking cars very soon (Opel based)

http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.au...gnia_first.jpg That's damn sexy for a sedan. Good to see the fruits of GMs global platform strategy making its way stateside. Sure beats a 1989 Cadillac Cimarron. |
Looks nice, and is a very good move by Saturn. I just adore the look of the sky, but it currently does stand out way too much over the not so good looking rest of the saturn limeup. Good to follow Opel. When I drive by a Sky in my S2000, as much as I hate to admit it, I think it's a better looking car. Love the looks. :)

Saturn = Opel
Pontiac = Holden If it's a good thing, GM should bring it to the US. |
WTF is that, Zorro's car?!
looks good. |
Do you think that GM has turned the corner in the sedan market?
This, G8, CTS, Malibu... it has to be more than a fluke. |
I don't know, but if it drives like it should (european spec chassis, powertrain, suspension), then GM has definitely rounded the corner.
I can't think of a better looking sedan on the market right now than that. Viking - The Solstice is decent looking, but the suspension, interior trim and ecotec 4 banger are pure crap, IMO. This seems to be more than skin deep beauty with the global platform GMs. |
The Aura by Saturn is pretty good.
|
I think GM has got its act together. Ford is way behind.

When I saw the Saturn line up at the auto show, I was really impressed. For the same price as a Chevy, you can get an OBVIOUSLY better car in terms of build quality. Just sitting there, you can tell the difference. The Sky is HOT! Reminds me of late 50s era Corvettes.

I don't think those dominating SCCA cars have the same suspension as the one's you buy off the showroom floor. And I'm sure the engines are tweeked, maybe just a little bit. They might of also stripped out the interior. And there is a possibility that........well you know were I'm going with this.

Maybe they changed the photo because I'm looking at junk right now.
This 4 door looks just like any other sedan I see every day? Like it belongs in Enterprise's fleet of vehicles? They knocked half of a trapezoid into the side. Doesn't turn a normal car into nice looking status. Too much silver highlight for 2008 as well. |

No it is showroom stock so it has to be almost stock. All it has is the performance suspension package which you can get on all solstices/skies. They are just very good race cars and happen to be beating the crap out of their competition.
Also, are those in SCCA turbo ecotecs? |
