even in a one mile race with one u-turn at the half point, you'll loose.

my int-x + greddy turbo can barely walk away from those big trucks with 'daytona' sticker on the side. there's no way you'll beat it with the stock renesis.

as far as the regular non-hemi, you'll be ok (i think). but with hemi, my money's not on the rx8. take it to an autox, and that'll be a diff. story... but i take it that's not what you're asking

If you can barely walk away from one of those daytona trucks, your car has issues, especially since you are turbo. And the 300C's are not all that fast, they usually run in the lower 14s.. soo it shouldnt be that bad.

How about you make a concious decision to not give a shit if you could beat it or not, since your 8 is yours and your friend is driving daddy's car. Whats it matter?

thanks.

Don't worry I had a chance against the new dodge charger with the hemi in it and let me tell you that at low rpm not a chance the charger just jump like a rocket in front of me BUT when the 8 went high in rpm let tell you again that I reached him really quickly and I think all of this was around in mile or so... :bootyshak

Yeah, in higher RPM's you're money. I took a Charger R/T from 55 to about 120 once. It was awesome, just some guy with his new car wanting to see what his and mine could do. Thumbs-up were exchanged.

You know what I saw the guy a little while after and the told me he was impressed :yesnod:

Now I know the 8 is a Charger killer ... :smoker:

C/D TEST RESULTS CHRYSLER 300C HEMI

5.7 Liter HEMI V-8, 340 hp, 390 lb-ft; 5-sp auto with manumatic shifting

ACCELERATION, Seconds
Zero to 30 mph, 2.0
40 mph: 2.8
50 mph: 4.1
60 mph: 5.3
70 mph: 6.8
80 mph: 8.8
90 mph: 11.0
100 mph: 13.4
110 mph: 16.1
120 mph: 20.1
Standing 1/4-mile: 13.9 sec @ 102 mph

Don't race him, mostly for safety reasons, but also because in a mile race, that car is gonna pick up so much steam he'll pull you pretty good. All he has to do is hold down that gas pedal, and it's all over no matter how good you shift or launch. It's both dangerous and embarassing, so let it go.

ohok. I've raced a few lightly modded Daytona hemis in my Trailblazer SS and wooped them pretty good, and I haven't been able to break into the 13s yet (still completely stock).. I'm gettin close though!

Razz1 11-16-2006 02:32 PM

tiltmode43 11-16-2006 02:39 PM

You wouldn't have that problem if you had a V8.

Boys, all they care about is who's got the biggest engine...

I say a mod closes this topic, question was answered and useless bandwidth by tfatf shit

joshk118 11-16-2006 03:45 PM

yes, 3 or 4 90 deg turns, a couple of sweepers and a u-turn.

And make sure the straights are very short. don't want that hemi to pick up too much speed between the turns.

:rollingla

well..in my opinnion..you could try and race but.. it really doesnt matter who wins in a race bc hes not proving anything if he wins..

#1. hes driving an automatic.
#2. its his daddys.
#3. He has no driving skills because - see reason #1, #2.
#4. his cars ugly, hes probably ugly. and because of those two small reasons, he gets no chicks. end of story.

you drive an 8. you get chicks. even if you're insanely ugly, you can still bag a nice chick because of your car. it doesnt mean she isnt a shallow chick, she probably is shallow bc shes just with you because you drive an 8.. but you can still get a girl if ur an ugly dude in ur car. simple everyday logic.

haha you are exactly right about all of those things you said.. but it does sort of matter if i win cuz he is one of those guys who is the same size as me but thinks he's a lot tougher and cooler than me, but all of the girls think he's annoying but he still talks to them all the time haha. but i just want to see the look on his face when i whoop the shit out of his dad's "HEMI" haha cause thats the only thing about the car that he knows. he dont even know what liter the displacement is or if the car is AWD or just RWD but he still thinks he can beat me cuz its a hemi.
