Question RX-7 Question

If you change your oil from Synthetic oil to non and when you start the car it smokes and fills the block with uhh smoke is that norm? or bad?

That's odd. The opposite is more plausible. It's not a good idea to switch to a real synthetic (Polyol Ester) if the car has many miles on dino and hasn't had oil seals recently replaced. I've seen leaking develop and smoking in a friend's Miata recently (Leaks everywhere and turbo smoke).

Black smoke, however, indicates rich mixture. Blue to bluish white smoke indicates the burning of oil more typically.
