Rotary Supercars Teases Upcoming 2,800hp Supercar

We hadn’t heard any news from little known German manufacturer Rotary Supercars since news first broke in August last year about the company’s plans to release a supercar sporting an eight-rotor wankel rotary engine reported to produce 2,800bhp and 3,494Nm of torque. Now however, GTspirit can break an exclusive to the motoring press as we recently stumbled upon a new teaser image of this upcoming hypercar after simply heading over to the company’s website. The last time we visited the site was back in May this year, and back then the site was completely blank with just some brief contact information.

nothing new but some puffing of the chest,,,
This is just not going to happen,,,
If it does, then great, what would you even do with 2800whp anyway, absolutely nothing

Good luck making it Euro5 or Euro6 compliant.

They've been teasing at this thing for years. I'll believe it when I see it.

Rotr8 12-12-2012 12:38 PM

Every time they tease it, it jumps two rotors, first it was a 4rotor then a 6 and now an 8, you'd think they'd get one out of the way first and built, an 8 rotor is soo long, the car is going to be massive if ever built

PPRE out of NZ beat them to a six rotor.

The foolishness is excessive with this one. Why don't they give us updates every April, maybe around the 1st or so? :dunno:. That should be enough to keep the flame fanned.

Paul.

All intakes should be pointy. Pointy is effective.

I would think the biggest problem, when you get over 3 rotors would be cooling. How many sq. in. of radiator space would it take to cool an 8 rotor engine?

You could snap transmissions in half with a slight pressing of the pedal. That would be pretty fun. Assuming you're Bill Gates and no longer have any idea what money is.

As far as problems considering the Speedsource Rene 3rotor cars require the trunk to be replaced with an oil tank I would think oil consumption could also present quite a problem with the infinity+N rotor configuration being touted here.

I think the last Kazuma told me was that its a custom 7 speed tranny.
Years ago he tried to get me to design the body for this very car.
That didn't happen due to him not wanting to pay for the designs. He kept emailing, saying "the funding is on the way its on the way why don't you just send over what you've got so far and we'll worry about the compensation later",,, ha! yeah ok!!!
