Rotary Super Car unveils the Raptor GT
Specialty marque Rotary Supers Cars of Germany has created the RSC Raptor GT as a super car that's a little different from the rest. Where to begin...well, first-off the car is made mostly of fiberglass and carbon fiber and features a technology called Variable Aerodynamic System which can adapt the aerodynamic properties of the car in order to create more downforce at high speeds. That's the easy part to describe - now, the engine. Under the hood is a specially built 4-rotor rotary engine by Rotary Super Cars using some parts from the Mazda 13B MSP. The Raptor GT will be sold with different spec-variants called the GT S, RS, RSR and N-spec. Depending on which model, engine configurations vary and include a water-to-air inter-cooled turbo or a bi-turbo system. The engine is coupled to an 8-speed RSC R-Shift transmission with a hydraulic shift mechanism which makes gear changes in 25 to 35 milliseconds. Output figures range from 500 PS (368 kW) for the 2.6 liter 4-rotor engine, to 800 PS (588 kW) for the turbo and a remarkable 1,200 PS (883 kW) for the twin-turbo configuration - all in a package that weighs 1100 kg. The Raptor GT also features an active suspension system, a carbon-aluminum drive shaft and an electronically-controlled rear axle differential. On the inside are two 7-inch display screens for telemetric data from the car, including vehicles settings for the various electronic systems as well as pressure and temperature indication. There's also the 5-inch tachometer with digital gear indicator and a shift light. Besides the Raptor GT, Rotary Super Cars has hinted of a second project supercar called the VelociRaptor (no relation to Hennessey's VelociRaptor series). Currently in the construction phase the 1100 kg (2425 lbs) vehicle is mid-engined with AWD, has an 8-speed sequential RSC R-SHIFT transmission, 90% carbon fiber, and pushes over 1.200 PS (883 kW / 1184 bhp). They claim this car will set new benchmarks Read more: http://www.worldcarfans.com/11010052...#ixzz11Uh9e0rT http://imgs.blackfalconmedia.com/201...1426405159.jpg http://imgs.blackfalconmedia.com/201...1498546692.jpg http://imgs.blackfalconmedia.com/201...1894901477.jpg |
What on earth? It's not even April Fool's Day or anything.

OMFG
that is gorgeous, and pure win. |
Took long enough for these aftermarket companys to finally jump on the rotary bandwagon and build and exotic for our beloved engine. To whomever is repsonsible for this needs a pat on the back, hug and kiss. Seriously, I find it fantastic that they are going balls to the walls with a 4 rotor. If they build this engine correctly, the world has no idea of what it will capable of. I can't wait to see how it performs and sounds.

I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it...

I'm taking offers for my left kidney...

1. RSC Raptor GT RS or RSR |
Awesome - How much?

That is ugly as sin. There seems to be about 6 different cars that got smashed together and this was the result. This thing has to be a joke no company in their right mind would ever produce such a grotesque looking car. I guess if it does get made you will be able to pick up a wrecked one shortly after wards as they wont be operating for long with the power to weight ratio.

Heck, the transmission alone must cost more than an rx8. |
Curious about its mpg and gas tank size....

If they want it to look good lose the ricer Japanese hood, axe the the front fenders and rear fenders (at least clean up the rear fender it just needs a few tweaks) the fronts just need to go. The rear bumper looks like it got stuck in the tires and just came loose. The headlights make it look really bad, lose the single eyeball. Things I like the silhouette, front bumper, spoiler and side skirts. |

I like Ferrari's, but this monstrosity is not a Ferrari. Even if Ferrari did make this thing the designer would have been fired who came up with it.
