Colorado rotary engine shop
After reading all the comments on shops around the country, I own REspeedshop.com and have been building Rx's, racing in SCCA for years. We only do a handful of cars / motors per year and yes the costs have gone up quite a bit.
It is everyone's responsibility to seek out and ask a lot of questions about your build, including expectations and budget. As a long time SCCA racer, I know the old guys whom created the Mazda rotary community and have grown up admiring their work. Figured it is time to jump into here as our shop has been active since 2016 and we intend to continue our work keeping the rotary alive and well. Thanks, happy holidays. |

Been talking to the owner some recently and am realizing he’s a good guy who’s been in the rotary game since the late 70’s. So he might not be around forever, but I’m comfortable to give a “recommended” bump
His name is JP Derdeyn. If you’re in the Montreal CAN area give JP a shout. *I also was confused thinking Derwyn was the Canadian shop that burnt down. Didn't re-check |
Added DE Speed Shop in Colorado.

I'm not sure I understand, is he affiliated with Derwyn, or did you link it because it's in Quebec?
He’s the owner, just as was stated at the beginning of the first sentence of the post. . |

https://www.rx7club.com/nw-rx-7-foru.../#post12601969 . The few interactions I had with him were helpful. |
That's very unfortunate, but I guess there was no-one to sell the shop to? They were always helpful answering questions when I had to order parts.
:( |
So, reading that post, it seems the parts business will continue. Better to have some of pineapple than none i guess.
