remote lock/unlock

so, my fiance has a 2002 honda accord, base base base model. it's paid off and gets good gas mileage, so we're keeping it for a while until we can afford something nice. i can do with the lack of power, cloth seats, 14" wheels, etc. the only thing that r-e-a-l-l-y bothers me (and her) is locking and unlocking the doors with the key!!! that's one modern car luxury i can't stand!

so, for xmas i'm thinking about getting her a remote to unlock/lock her car but i don't know anything about that process. i don't have a ton of money, and since we're not going to keep the car forever, i don't want to waste money, but if it's reasonable i think she'd love it. can anyone comment on this? are they reasonably price modules for this? i don't need any alarm unless that's standard, just the locking/unlocking feature for all 4 doors. thanks.

If the car has power locks then there are TONS of alarms that will lock and unlock. If the car does not have power locks then it can be done but it will be expensive.

Look in your area for alarm install shops and have them look at her car and see what they tell you.
