Question on tint

So whenever I get my 8, im questionign if I want to get tints or not? they def look dope on the care, but in terms of visibility... I remember the mx-3 I had.
I bought it from Jersey, and the kid before me had really dark tints, way to illegal for nyc tint laws.
It was hard as shit to see through them, especially at night.
My question is, do they have tints that are dark from the outside but easily visible from the inside out?
Or is it just a matter of get a lower % tint done?
Thankz

Ash

its all about the tint %. If you are concerned about visibility, go only as low as 20%. I have 20% all around and visibility is fine with me.

Same. Just not on windshield. The only time it is hard to see out of is at night when you are turning onto a dark area it is hard to see where you are going, but it's not a big deal.

Thankz folks. I know certain cars come standard with a certain amount of low % tint.
Is that true of the rx8 as well or is it clear windows all the way?

the factory glazing on rx-8's meters around a 75% light transmittance. (very little factory tinting) my car has 32% installed on it and with that factory glazing it meters at 27%. whatever you have installed, you should figure the light transmission will drop around 4-5%.

oh...and it's tint, not tints. LOL

I use 5% on the back 3 and 20% on the front 2. Looks real good and I have it that way on all of my cars that I get tinted. Its not hard to see out and keeps it nice and dim inside the car.
