Problems. Need help asap
 

Hello fellow rx8 owners. I have an 04 rx8. I am having some torubles with it and I wanted to see if you guys new the answers to some of my problems. First, sometimes my AC, when on the cold setting, blows out hot air. Once I turn the nob to hot and then cold it comes out cold again. This happens two to three times while I am driving. Another major problem is my car dies on me, literally. When I am at a light in neutral it starts shaking really bad and then dies. This sucks so much. The only engine mod I have is a cold air AEM intake. Could that be the problem? I need help bad, so please reply back

1.) This is the wrong section for your questions.

2.) Search, the A/C issue has been cover quite a bit.

3.) Yes CAIs can cause iddle and stalling problems.

search ASAP

I dont have warranty anymore, so can i get this fixed somewhere else besides the dealer.

what recall? I have had this intake for over a year and i have never had this problem of stalling.

its covered under warranty, so chances are you'll have to pay for it.

Why is this in General Automotive? Cuz the person can't look farther than the tip of his nose.

Clean your maf sensor.

A tank of diesel will fix all of those problems. I usually run at least a half tank every 3k miles as preventative maintenance. It's somewhere in the manual.

yeah diesel with a tablespoon of sugar, make sure you use pure Dixie Crystals not the synthetic stuff, it won't burn right- it will clean all the valves and pushrods will good

That's what my mechanic told me too. Almost word for word.
