Pre-start oil pumps, are they helpful?
Hello everyone...
I heard that 30-80% of an engines wear and tear happen at startup because at that short moment the engine oil is not at the pressure or areas it should be. When I thought about getting a new car I thought I would invest in one to make sure I protect my engine the best I could. Has anyone had any experiances with a "PRE-start" oil pump? If so, how much was it and would a rotary experiance the same benifits as a normal piston engine? These pumps also can pump the oil out of the engine to make the oil change that much better. Thanks in advance for your input? |
They are very helpfull when it comes to dry starts they also give you a few more seconds
to shut off your engine if you lose oil pressure. But I think oil injection on the rotary takes care of dry starts. Prices are about $150 and up. You just need to find an oil filter addapter that fits the RENESIS in order to run your lines. |
