Duuno if it really will appeal to more people. BMW got spanked on the SMG only M5/M6 and a lot of Evo people are saying the same about the Evo X... we'll see, but this kind of car needs to have a stick option. Even Ferrari has one!

the test cars have paddle shift, it was never mentioned anywhere that tradition manual wont be offered.
|
I never said that it did say that...
I am just saying that it doesn't sound like one is being planned... at least not initially. Definitely the test prototypes are sequential transmissions. And all my info isn't necessarily coming from the stuff posted here... |
i wasnt addressing your post hehe, just a post in general

Don't know if this has already been mentioned but it was tested lapping Laguna Seca in the 1:39s. Er...that's freakin' fast!!
As a benchmark the 996 GT3 fast laps were 1:40s. |
yeah i read about that on g35driver, they are saying its closer to 500hp based on its laptimes out running the 997 turbo car that they brought with them.

Enter the (pricing) rumormill: Nissan GT-R trim level and prices
Posted Mar 26th 2007 7:26AM by Damon Lavrinc Filed under: Sports/GTs, Supercars, Nissan So, AutoExpress releases information today that says that the new GT-R will come in at £29,000... in Japan. We're not sure how that's going to equate in U.S. dollars (or yen, for that matter), but what was even more interesting was that they divulged the varying levels of trim that will be offered when the GT-R goes on sale next year. The "entry-level" version will come equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox, four piston Brembos and the aforementioned £29,000 price tag. The next step up would be the £35,000 V-spec version, that gets a seven-speed DSG and six-piston stoppers, while the top o' the line Evolution package will get everything included in the V-spec, but will also come with lots of carbon fiber pieces to reduce weight. The GT-R Evolution will likely be priced over £50,000. Again, we have no idea where these figures and trim levels came from, as AutoExpress only says that "sources" provided in the information. Whatev, we're still salivating. $56840, $68600 and $98000 |
Those prices would actually be a bit high as we don't have as many taxes and such in the US. Interesting none the less.
