looks like a bugatti eb110 mixed with a lamborghini diablo. overall not bad.

hough2696 08-24-2007 03:59 PM

They can do better in the front, As is I would pass....Change the front and I'd take it.

dynamho 08-24-2007 04:48 PM

Hahaha! Can't escape the 80s design. The wheels remind me of a jet turbine.
Well, if they stick true to DeLorean's vision, it could sport a rotary.

VikingDJ 08-24-2007 05:02 PM

Gotta love the Delorean. It's look is timeless. Not sure I'd buy one with rims like that though. hehe TOO BIG!!!

I considered buying a refurbished one from Texas, but thought I had best stick to my S2000. Still though, I hope to own one some day, preferably the 1983 model if possible. :)

Alucard 08-24-2007 05:17 PM

The new cars are $42,500 and they are only making 500 cars. They are going to look the same as they did before, and they are just complete rebuilds of the old car. Its nothing too exciting....sorry

mateo 08-24-2007 05:17 PM

Nice... I think those rims would be ok if Tupac or Biggie were driving.. WOOT WOOT... WESTSIDE!!

Sorry guys... ;)

dynamho 08-24-2007 05:33 PM

An 80s Lambo that is. The Countach!

bionicman 08-24-2007 05:42 PM

Johnny Carson lost boat loads of cash investing in Delorean in the 80's. They can still build the cars new. A shop in Texas bought all the remaing parts. I don't see this happening with an all steel body which to me is an RX7 without a rotary.

RotaryP7 08-24-2007 05:52 PM

Man the older design looks better..
Lets go Back to the Future and retrieve it!

SlowLude 08-24-2007 05:54 PM

I'd so get an old school DMC-12. It was wierd cuz I just watched Back to Future a few days ago! (So I was bored ok?) I wonder what'd it look like if you modernized it a bit... put some nice wheels on it, lower it and maybe a body kit... seems like a good photoshop contest!

tajabaho1 08-24-2007 06:17 PM

aww damn, yea I get it, so basically they re remanufacturing some of the old deloreans, but still I really like that car

lol

77mjd 08-24-2007 07:21 PM

That pic doesn't do anything for me. I think it's ugly. :icon_no2:

SSgtUSMC 08-25-2007 04:57 PM

Absolutly terrible! The back is way to long the front looks like a smashed chevy.
I can not believe that is the real design.

sleeperx8 08-25-2007 05:26 PM

anybody remember the vid on youtube of a 20b in a black delorean? freakin' awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJe1WAs5tWI

Spinning Sushi 08-25-2007 05:41 PM

I'd buy it if it comes with a flux capacitor!

Well this company has been making factory refurbished deloreans for years. I guess now they are making fully brand new ones, which will be a bit better. So basically nothing all that new, except you can buy one that's not refurbished now. The refurbished ones though are almost as good as new, and at one time I was considering it.

4me2 08-25-2007 10:08 PM

I hope it will be faster than the old Delorean.

Don't forget that without the "Mr. Fusion" option, you'll need a lot of plutonium, too!

Actually to me the new DeLorean looks like a cross between a Triumph TR-7 and an Astrovan. :lol2:

tajabaho1 08-26-2007 01:48 AM

"hi, I'm looking for a Delorean"
"yea we got lots of new ones coming in"
"08?"
"no, they are actually 20s"
"???"
"yea, they just arrived, right out of the power plant from the future"
"oh cool, so hows the gas milage?"
"yea, it depends on your package, if your looking at the sports, its 20, touring is 100 and grand touring, which is loaded is 0"
"why is it 0?"
"yea, thats because we got it to run on shit"
"wha?!?!?"
"yea, apparently, theres this little hole right here, you throw shit into it and it automatically becomes fuel, organic stuff actually works best, so it helps if u have a fat wife"
*wife looks at salesman*
"I see, so whats the diff between the packages?"
"well, for the sports model, its basically the lightest model since its a stripped down version of the car, topspeed is actually 140mph but at 88mph, you get an *exclusive* flashbang effect from your car, which is totally safe cus nothing actually happens, those starts at 30k

the touring models are basically the sports model equipped with a flux capacitor so you can travel through time, we don't normally sell alot of them because our customers say they end up in pools and other hazardous environment once the flux capacitor engages, those are 40k"

so what about the grand tourings?

I'm tired, ill finish this crap up later

shaunv74 08-26-2007 02:36 AM

If it looked like that I would buy it....for $10.00...or maybe more. But not alot more.

ivory8 08-26-2007 03:04 AM

if they redesigned the front end/head lights id consider it...that is, if it was quicker than the 8
