Feras 10-20-2004 09:39 PM

sounds like srt4 competition

s13lover 10-20-2004 09:44 PM

Cheap looking interior.

Don Vito 10-20-2004 09:49 PM

What were they trying to do with that interior? It all looks like a mess, nothing looks good with the other things.

Yup, and to the neon redline also. No weight numbers at the manufacturers website www.chevycobalt.com

I think you mean the Saturn ION Redline, not Neon.

RXE16T 10-21-2004 06:47 AM

IMO the exterior profile of this car looks like a current series Honda Integra (Acura RSX) from some angles.

Hmmmm....... the jury's still out on its overall styling though.

jtimbck2 10-21-2004 02:01 PM

Isn't that just a riced-up Cavalier? Or is it a Chevy twin to the Saturn Ion? Either way, I see nothing to get excited about.

srit1 10-21-2004 03:32 PM

and whats with it bumping the Vette in all the commericals

czr 10-21-2004 03:36 PM

And I thought the Cavalier's rear was ugly..

Thetitanium8 10-21-2004 04:21 PM

IMO looks pretty good for the price.

Ike 10-21-2004 05:23 PM

It's going to be a popular car for teens and young people that want to get in the tuner crowd but have a little redneck in em. The supercharged version if probably going to be VERY easy to make faster.

draco067 10-21-2004 06:37 PM

It looks like the bastard child of a Cavalier and an RSX

shorty911 10-21-2004 08:14 PM

looks like th biggest pos cheap car ever i bet you it will cost like 23k too that car and the srt-4 can go commit suicide

GiN 10-21-2004 08:18 PM

It looks like Chevy's answer to the Scion tC...

zoom44 10-21-2004 08:22 PM

.... BUT DAMN CHEVY CAN THROW A CAR TOGETHER QUICK CAN'T IT? i mean like 6 months ago there was no mention of this car. not comparing the 2 here just the time- i mean it took mazda like 4 years to develop the mazda3. chevy throws a car together in like 4 months.

kuciaman 10-21-2004 09:40 PM

reminds me a little of the gto. an average looking sedan that they are trying to sport up.

911SC 10-23-2004 11:15 PM

don't hold back shorty911, tell us how you really feel. :)

mysql101 10-23-2004 11:41 PM

it looks like an ECHO :(

The wing doesn't help it any either. I really wonder who is to blame for the design - too much input from upper management? The design people would know it looks too conservative.

Correct.....it is the TC. I know that GM and Toyota are sharing the TC platform. This same platform is also being used for the Pontiac G6.

Actually, the tC is built on the Toyota Avensis platform (click for more info) while the Cobalt is built on the new GM Delta platform (click for more info). The two platforms are not the same. Also, the G6 is based on the Epsilon platform as it is a mid sized car and so is too big for the Delta platform.

That wing takes my breath away. I'm gonna trade my 8 in for one of those as soon as it comes out.

Murray16 10-24-2004 10:34 PM

From what I remember reading te performance numbers are nowhere near the srt-4's. I don't think GM will ever get it right.
