Hi All - My partner (he's the MAJORITY partner) got his new license plate for his Ferrari Stradale and decided to drive it to work on Friday. I thought you all might enjoy some "eye candy" for a Sunday afternoon - here's a few pics!

Well, it's an ugraded exhaust he had installed about 2 weeks ago. He hasn't seen these pics yet - I'll show it to him tomorrow and see what he thinks. Here's a pic of the interior which I forgot to include:

he drives Ferrari !! but y u drive 8?! :p teasing !!

Outlaws eXtreme 09-26-2004 07:24 PM

Wasn't there another RX-8 forum member that bought a Stradale awhile ago? Hmmm...

Riccio, it's time for you (The OTHER majority partner) to buy a uhmmm... Ferrari Enzo or something small like that. Debadge it, replace it with RX-8 badges...etc... :P

Thats what I was thinking.........

BlueEyes 09-26-2004 07:37 PM

What made him choose the CS?? I would assume he is a big racer, where/what events does he run?

Damn those cars are sweet!!

JeupRX-8 09-26-2004 07:48 PM

The Stradale is nice, but the ride is too tough and that looks like a Tudi cat-back. You can get a Porsche GT3 for $75 less and it has a somewhat comfortable ride and is a better handler. Plus you can use that $75 to mod it into a Cup car if you are intertested in racing.
That Stradale is just not my taste; I do like the 15" ceramic rotors, they squeek worse than the RX-8's rotors. :) My dad's buddy (the one that has the black enzo), has one of them and I got a chance to drive it at Gingerman.

Riccio 09-26-2004 08:23 PM

He used to run a Toyota Atlantic/Formula Atlantic Car. He really likes the race car like characteristics of the Stradale. He is probably one of the few owners with the driving skills to really drive it at close to maximum limits without killing himself or someone else.

They had an Enzo in the showroom when we went to pick up the Stradale (drove him and his wife there in my 8) - had it roped off like the museum piece that it is.

I'd rather have several cars than one Ferrari. I have a smaller equity position - but, I'm very happy with the cars I do have - especially my RX8.

Had a new Racing Beat exhaust installed on it Saturday - WOW - really, really, REALLY, like that!

Damn, $75 will go farther than I thought.

Relentless 09-26-2004 10:28 PM

That car looks ok. I think the RX-8 is faster.

Riccio 09-26-2004 10:41 PM

Faster to pay-off maybe - LOL

Liquid Rhino 09-27-2004 05:32 PM

Of course he got it with the optional $30K hand-painted stripe that screams Stradale... Nice! :D

One day.. one day...

Riccio 09-27-2004 06:25 PM

I saw the "window sticker" (I don't think it is ever even close to bein stuck on the window - was in a very nice looking portfolio) and that stripe, painted at the factory, was an extra $5K (plus change) !!!!

But, I was told, having it done at the factory will help to insure the future value of the car.

Or something like that..........

Kel Rx8 09-27-2004 07:08 PM

either way nice car
and congratulate him for us.

It's a $6k decal, not a hand-painted stripe as was told to many CS buyers. There was a thread about this over at ferrarichat (link) a month or so back, a few of them were pissed that they spent that much money on something they could've gotten done at a local body shop for a few hundred (if that).

canaryrx8 09-28-2004 08:59 AM

a ferrari is a ferrari stripe or no stripe, you're not just buying a car when you own one of those, you're buying a piece of racing history.

Mugatu 09-28-2004 09:17 AM

cool car dude - I'm jealous.

SHOWOFF 09-28-2004 04:36 PM

Ferraris and I mean all of them are my favorite cars for all sorts of reasons.

I think if I could have ANY Ferrari it would be a '67 GTO

SHOWOFF 09-28-2004 04:39 PM

A friend of mine has a 360 Modena with a set of custom one off Giovanni GFG's painted to match the car. I do like that car.
