yeah, its too bad Mazda can't make a decent truck.

nuke0907 07-30-2010 01:23 PM

i guess nobody is interested in my ugly truck.

09Factor 07-30-2010 01:24 PM

So when is the 20B swap going in?

Vlaze 07-30-2010 01:25 PM

I'm not a fan of foreign trucks...when it comes to trucks I gotta say American brands do it better. The only foreign truck I don't mind would be the Toyota X-runner

going in my 8? probably never. i've got to get it running again with my rebuild first. i don't seem to have the time to work on it. even when i do, it always has problems. i'm thinking of just taking it somewhere to get worked on finally.

thats partly why i got it. hope to haul my 8 on long trips next time. last time i was stranded and had to leave it somewhere and get it months later after it had been worked on. i said "not again."

mike[piston eater] 07-30-2010 01:38 PM

NICE DD!!

Taco's are pretty much unbeatable as far as off roading and the Titans are solid as hell. My father has a 04' Titan SE 4x4 with 150,000 trouble free miles towing a 5th wheel RV. Great Truck. His 1/2 Silverado towed like shit and the interior was pretty much shot by 100,000 miles. If I bought American it would be a 3/4 ton diesel :)

dezau 07-31-2010 01:09 AM

hmmm TRD huh...

Yeah, the white on the Kia is actually a special pearl white. My truck was just a basic white that was very dull.

Javii 05-15-2012 09:46 AM

Congratz on the new ride, I was also thinking of getting a cheap truck for when I'm not able to use the car. And for rainy days too... fuck flooding

oneclean8 05-15-2012 07:53 PM

I couldn't see this on my work computer. I was hesitant at first to buy a Kia but they have really turned around the last few years. I have no complaints so far. It is the Optima SX so it has the 2.0T.

looks nice... i'm not big on the Korea car companies, but it does look good. Actually mazda's the first foreign car company i've bought from, so i could be biased. lol!!

My other car is prolly the opposite of the '8 - all go and no show at all!

'06 Forester, upsized turbo and intercooler.

Just rebuilt the motor after a piston cracked under the extra boost, put in Wiseco forged pistons and a few Cosworth parts in key places.

Sad, but she's automatic......

Mawnee 05-20-2012 01:43 AM

I only got one thing form this thread.

Tacos

nuke0907 05-20-2012 09:43 PM

no tacos in this thread.

Hey now no AT bashing. I'm going to tell a Mod on you. :beer05:

SleepeR1st 05-27-2012 08:14 PM

A Tundra to an Optima? I understand if you had no use of having a pickup truck.

You cant go wrong with the 4.7 V8. It takes all of 4hrs to do a timing belt and water pump every 90k miles. Other then that they are bullet proof smooth engines.
