ALL the mazda cars desplyed there has their break disc PAINTED! all in silver! LOL.... now does Mazda's breaks suck that much and rust that badddddd???? lol... well... if u guys go check out other auto shows in the future, please take a look at their break disc and see if they're painted... lol... or is it only the here that they paint them.... it's halirous... lol...

OH and i think the shinka edition is for sale here in canada too... cause i saw one that's looks purplesish(the color seen on the shinka here) and the interior leather is white... and on the magazine it just says "special edition"

WTF?....., the car stops on a dime with no fade. They have great brakes!

So what if they paint them...what a dumb thread.

seems like ur judging brakes by how it looks...? u should test drive an 8 and try the brakes... then come back and say they "suck"

BlueEyes 04-04-2005 11:53 PM

FYI it's brakes, not breaks ;)

Parmer8 04-05-2005 12:01 AM

Yep breaking things sucks, but the 8's brake is fine by me.

relax and have a brew. Correction:..........go ahead and have two.

nomopistons 04-05-2005 07:10 AM

You don't work on breaks, my brakes work and I'm old and rusty. So paint me. By the way I'm 1/2 Canadian.

PaulieWalnuts 04-05-2005 08:02 AM

So rusty appearance = brakes suck? I like to hear your conversation with someone else.

Them: "So RX Renesis, I'm thinking of buyng an 8 and want to know how well the car stops"
You: "On yea the brakes on the 8 really suck"

Nubo 04-05-2005 10:02 AM

That's certainly halirous. You're braking me up. :p

guy321 04-05-2005 10:03 AM

OMG!! The BRAKES must be broken!! Mazda breaks brakes by painting them!!!

guy321 04-05-2005 10:05 AM

Go sit in a corner and rust :)

I broke a suck once.

It wasn't pretty.

Sigma 04-05-2005 10:10 AM

To go back on-topic, it's not uncommon to paint or otherwise scrub or clean the rotors on showcars. Anyone whose owned any car can see rust forming both on the hub of the rotor and particularly on the face of the rotor very quickly, particularly on a humid day. Everyone gets rusted rotors (admittedly the RX-8 is excessive) and no one wants press pictures of rusted rotors.

army_rx8 04-05-2005 11:44 AM

^ahhhhh hahahah i was waiting for that one to come out....good form ole' boy good form:D

hahahahahahahahahhahahaha

yes i AM easily amused:p

Elara 04-05-2005 12:12 PM

Hrm, my brake rotors are always rusty if the car gets left out in the rain for any period of time and I don't drive it. My friend's WRX's were rusty for the same reason this weekend when it was parked in my driveway. I guess that means they both suck....??

rodrigo67 04-05-2005 12:44 PM

I saw an Evo the other day and it had some rust on the body...that thing must be really slow... :D

Zio 04-05-2005 12:44 PM

What's weird about this? I've seen people with more than 9000 posts in other forums writing shit.

In German there's a saying: 'Reden ist Silber, schweigen ist Gold' which translates as 'to speak is silver and to remain silent is gold'. (Just because someone talks a lot doesn't mean he or she has a clue.)

Now back to English language. Why do you guys even bother to debate with the original poster? He does not even know the difference between "breaks" and "brakes".

canaryrx8 04-05-2005 01:57 PM

I would have to agree with the poster, it does indeed suck when our Mazda's "break" :D oh well, I guess that's just the brakes (rimshot...somebody stop me!....hahahah..talk about easily amused) :D

GotZoom 04-05-2005 02:02 PM

The only sucking my brakes do is my eyeballs out of my head when I stand on them.

zoom44 04-05-2005 02:21 PM

the interior of the shinka is "parchment" not "white".

No More Oldsmobiles 04-05-2005 04:42 PM

Bet parchment brakes easily.

Hey, this is all the fun of a Lounge thread ... AND it counts in your post count.

GotZoom 04-05-2005 04:46 PM

I have heard that some dealers will say that a broken suck isn't under warranty, but if you push hard enough, they will give in and fix it.

Haha

If my breaks were as good as my brakes, I wouldn't bother driving to work.

nbthing 04-05-2005 05:27 PM

I did a search on how to brake-in the engine and didn't find anything.

... but when I did a search about the breaks, I ended up here.

Now, could someone tell me how the anti-lock breaking system works?

BlueEyes 04-05-2005 05:34 PM

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/anti-lock-brake.htm

hmmm, perhaps he was being humorous.

No More Oldsmobiles 04-05-2005 05:35 PM

It works with a tire iron. If you see someone trying to break your locks, you whomp 'em.

Whee, 284

Try a search on .... break-in ......

and ..... anti-lock brake .....

Bet you will see different results.

nbthing 04-05-2005 05:57 PM

Should have posted my first message with smilies :o

Folks took me too seriously esp after all the bad break-brake jokes on the first 3 pages.

Xyntax 04-05-2005 06:57 PM

I hope you are not talking about brakes that look like this:

http://racetunedimports.com/TENZO_bigbrake_alum-red.jpg

My brakes do not rust because I drive mostly in the City. That means I actually use them.

You have been stereotyped! One look at your post count and people would think that you're more likely meaning what you said. Welcome to the club btw :D

This thead is one of the funniest I've seen this year.

my "breaks" are rusty, and squeaky...because the 8 brakes are the best that Ive read, I was thinking about keeping them stock and painting them black. rather than getting a drilled and slotted upgrade. I might just upgrade the calipers. Good brakes, just rusty. Might transfer the money into exhaust.
