Mazda REPU

Well, I've been on this board since August and have never seen this mentioned anywhere. I grew up with rotary cars. My father is crazy about them. We never had one of these, but if I could find one, and could afford it, I'd buy one in a heart beat. Check it out.

Those of you that are new to the rotary community should check this site out.

I heard about these awhile ago from my cousin who's a rotary buff.
Apparently very rare.

Pretty cool though.

I own one they are great.I have a few pictures of it on the site, but it seems the photo gallery isn't working(atleast not for me)Depending on where you live you should be able to find one.I had my shipped to MA from GA a few years back, and I love it.The ultimate would be to own a 77(larger cab),but they are very rare. They made very little 77's,so finding one is tough.Good luck in your search, and ahh oh yeah they are tough to find parts for regardless of where you live, but tougher for me on the east coast.

I love the REPU. It was a great little truck for its time, and I believe its 13B was a torque beast. I wonder if anyone has dumped a rotary engine into a rock crawler rig.

sweet, can you post those pics here again? maybe even post a sound clip or video of it in action? :)

I actually never have posted them here, but maybe I could.I do have them posted on the mazdarepu.com site but the gallery page doesn't seem to be working right now.I also have them posted at www.marx7.org

If you click on members a list will show up on the left of the page. You will find me listed as Chris DiRado.I have pics of my RX-7 and the REPU on the 2nd page.I am sorry, but I don't have any sound clips or video, but I may be able to do that with my wifes digital camera.

I had a 74 repu, I loved the truck. I found it in this elderly mans front yard. I had a friend that lived up near where the truck was located and asked her to go check it out for me. It was a yellowish beige with brown and white stripes going down the side. I wish I still had it, I installed a RB header and Mikuni carbs, modified a shifter so it would sit lower in the cab. I took out the bench seat and set two 1st gen buckets in with welded brackets. I miss the burnouts in that truck. I would go get parts in it and it would draw more attention than any other wankel I have ever owned. Oh the memories......I would love to have another one someday. Minus the rust and flinstone floorboards:)

Sorry guys. I don't have any acces to RXTuner. :(

I got the idea as a suggestion made by Peterson's 4-Wheel & Off-Road back in 2002. These engines are feathers compared to the big Rat Motor swaps normally seen.
