Mazda, Ford to Dissolve Chinese Partnership by 2012
Sure... Mazda and Ford are working together as they always did since Ford's sell off..YEAH RIGHT...
I know this is a newspaper report (Japan), and involves their 3 Way Joint Plants in China, but by splitting the two separate Plants IMO is strategic for Mazda (and Ford) and protects their IP and future car designs coming out of China. As we know more and more cars will be exported from China to all continents, just to compete. Japan, US, Europe, Australia are just too expensive to make cars. Interesting times.. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?p...d=asu.0v.NOPN4 |
I will never buy a car made in China.

What like after WW2 no one would buy a Japanese car.....decades later Korean cars....future China.
Most hard consumables and or small appliances are all made in China. I am sure the US is like Australia everything (almost) is made in China, Great Wall Motors is here.. http://www.greatwallmotors.com.au/ Would I but one...na |
Great Wall is in Italy too..my Mazda delaler for a period have sold those cars....

Never say never. Just like how hyundai joined the auto industry, their cars are crap. Few years later... hyundai is up at the top with cheap affordable reliable decent looking cars. China is just in that phrase of setting up their basics in foreign soils and sooner or later.. they will be up there.

the report from that Japanese paper is speculation. Ford , Mazda and Chonqing releasing statements saying it's not correct.

I know I don't want to be the guinea pig buying the first Chinese cars. It's gonna take them awhile to get it right, which I am sure they will. Helps to have a gov't willing to shovel billions toward your industry.

There is a reason China is making coffee pots and other goods like that, is because its not a huge investment that requires quality. If you buy anything REALLY high end, its usually made in Japan, Germany, USA, etc...

50 years ago Japan makes nothing but "crap" (back then's standard)
Look at what they do now ? so never say never. |
