CX-7 and the CX-9(3.5l duratec) mark the death of MPV and Tribute in North America. Although dealers can still for now get Tribute Hybrids

looks kinda cool, shaped almost like that porsche ceyanne...

Hope Mazda does well with these scrapping the mpv. Also hope the $38k price is inaccurate.

nah the article ( http://info.detnews.com/autosinsider...x.cfm?id=21265 )that says priced from 38k has the cx-7 starting at 30k which isnt correct. the CX-7 starts at just under 24k. we should see the CX-9 start just at 30k maybe even 29.x k

Great info zoom. I am trying to talk my wife into a CX-7 when the Tribute lease is up, I think she will really like it. I see Mazda distancing itself from Ford more every month. The Tribute is a nice SUV, and has a lot less problems than my friends who have Escapes, go figure. I think the best thing Mazda can do is to buy out Ford's stake in the company. Sure they benefit from being associated with them (economies of scale, engineering, platform sharing), but they have grown so much and are performing so well compared to all of the other Ford divisions. Using the 8 look in the CX-7 and now the CX-9 will only make them more successful. GO Mazda, Keep up the Good Work.

just my .02

Yeah, good job Mazda!

Now...back to the RX8...lol

Hopefully it handles better and has more interior room than the lame Tribeca. Unfortunately, a manual trans seems very unlikely, or I'd be very tempted.
