I was at the race. Randy Pobst came very close to winning both championships. He led the Touring race from pole until about 2 laps remaining, when Kleinubing got along side him on the outside of turn 2 and punted him off. It was a sucky way for Pobst to lose the race, but at least he came back and clinched the GT championship.
If my camera batteries would've lasted, I'd have taken a pic of the nice dent in Randy's bumper we saw in the paddock after the race.
Altenburg did a nice job of getting to the top 5 after losing a tire on the first lap. Congrats to Mazda.

Altenburg got lucky. His brakes were on the verge of destruction
The picture below is of his Stoptech front left rotor after the race. The history of these rotors are unknown so they could have very been used all season long or perhaps they were just changed for this race. Who knows.
There's only one thing to conclude from Altenburg's rotor.......Randy Pobst had back luck
