(any colour will do)

Jedi54 11-21-2008 11:41 AM

Jeff: kick up your AP / tuning / turbo sales, buy one of those and drop that extra Reni engine in it. NOW.

pdxhak 11-21-2008 11:46 AM

wow wow wow! I'm sure the back seats are useless but my kids are small so it could work!

JRichter 11-21-2008 12:08 PM

I drove it in GT5-P several times. Handling's excellent. :)

TopGear8 11-21-2008 12:09 PM

I'd take one.

ULLLOSE 11-21-2008 12:27 PM

The leave the bad news out of the specs, no LSD.

Still wouldn't stop me from getting one.

IMHO, if the engineers at Lotus didn't put one in stock, then it probably doesn't need one for most driving. (read - save some $$$ in production)

Also, most of the cars out now use the ABS/Traction control as a sort-of LSD. (I know - a poor solution)

Finally, it's a Toyota-sourced transaxle.... The guys at Quaife already have LSD's (about $1k) for all the other Lotuses out there. I'd bet they would have a fitment for the Evora about 1/2hour after they get their hands on one....

That is how the Elise started to.... By the end of 2005 it had one.

^ I do appreciate that as a stock autocrosser the factory LSD is important to to you, though.

Brian Major 11-21-2008 01:33 PM

i don't dig the roof, rear quarter panel or the front...

this is what happens when lotus does "practical"

I can't imagine calling something a sports car in this day and age - even a practical sports car - and not putting in an LSD. And considering what those cars sell for...come on. Those should go to quaife for reconfigurable clutch types from the factory.

ShinkaTeen 11-21-2008 09:55 PM

i love the look lotus had with all elise/exige/720 etc...

but i really hate this design.

reminds me of a lambo.. and we all know what happened to them.
